Exhibit C in the "why is a Donald Trump doing so well" brief. Another note, while I have Joe --- what's your view on James Carville? I'll share mine, too.

My best finds for who they are. I won't denigrate them. I agree their emotion is larger than their reasoning. When is that a unique criticism? I watched a Frank Luntz Trump focus group on television and then found the video and article, below. Trump has no vision, but that's less meaningful to his supporters than the fact that he hears their fear and anger. I get it. Trump may not be a skilled fighter, but he's willing to fight. Sometimes, when picking a champion, you pick the guy who'll throw punches over the Marquess of Queensberry trained expert who sits on his hands. The frustration has two sources. One is government as usual, in general, and the other is government as embodied by President Obama. Toss in some Wall Street, low wages, high unemployment, terrorism, #EveryBodyButMeMatters, and "your life is a stream of micro aggressions" criticism, and you get a toxic brew. Video Excerpts (I wish I had it all in a link; I saw it all on television). http://www.realclearpolitics.com/video/2015/12/13/luntz_focus_group_of_trump_supporters_were_tired_of_weak_candidates.html Article (Luntz insight). http://www.ft.com/cms/s/0/1b8318aa-a99f-11e5-9700-2b669a5aeb83.html#axzz3ve4j7Gkv The Republican Party fears Trump's success. The Democratic Party snickers at his supporters' ignorance. I'd recommend we all recognize what gave birth to them. They're American human beings and they're as good and as smart as any group of non-Trump supporters. Uninformed? I'll take random Trump supporters in any 100 question political policy quiz using proper nouns such as names, places, legislation, rates, Amendments, countries, wars and economics against another candidates' random supporters and "lay" 10 questions. Any takers? They're supporting the wrong guy. They're not dumb. LOL !! I'm in sales ... I sorta get it! One thing about sales, you are stone cold result oriented and willing to be measured every way, every day.

Alex Nylander scored, of course, with some slick hands and a backhand to the roof. It was his only SOG. Combine my ability to analyze, especially on television, the USA's zone time advantage, and the 8 PKs for Sweden and it's tough for me to have a feel for any Swedish forward after today. He made the game's biggest play after the game's biggest mistake.
-
Agreed ... Puljujarvi looked very polished and explosive at the same time. He went to the dirty areas, too. I only saw the condensed 60 minute broadcast which is a bit of a highlight reel. Finland had its way with Belarus.

Last two minutes - USA with too many men on the ice when Nedeljkovich leaves for the bench, has to retreat, and a sixth attacker mistakenly joins the ice ... bad execution. Then, in the final minute, Tkachuk two minutes for beheading. Sweden - a tall, positionally sound athletic goaltender - go figure. Final: 1-0 Sweden. Great game. One goalie stands on his head and the other is beaten only on an odd man rush turned breakaway. I can't remember any other dangerous odd man rushes in the entire game. Great wall and board play, but hard to crack the front of the net. Would DeBrincat be important in a one goal game? Canada - Sweden's gonna be a game. I saw a chart that showed shots from prime scoring areas in the Canada US game. Canada had many .... This is exactly what Sweden took away from the US today. Interested in Marner, Strome between the dots against the big Swedish defense ... Sweden with Nylander would be scary. Overall, a great tourney start for the USA in terms of play. Perhaps we see Halverson in net in the next game. Nedeljkovich has played very well, obviously.
-
I like the way this is called. Powerplay shot, save, whistle, two USA players on the deck .... Shots 45 - 17. MODO -- So close for Grundstrom! Nedeljkovich robbed him.
-
7th USA power play coming up. And ... 7th kill.
-
Swede's are killing penalty after penalty, including an extended two man down situation. Linus, the Swede Sweden needs. I think the US has been overall better, and Sweden's capitalized on a mistake.
-
End of one, 0-0, for those following at work. Hard to get a read after one period with five power plays. I thought the first seven or eight minutes belonged to Sweden and the last seven or eight to the US. US power play features a lot of Matthews on the right half wall/circle and Tkachuk on the right post. Collapsing on this leaves the points, but shots aren't getting through and the big Swedes don't leave much room in front. Good PK for both. Same with goaltending. I like the US along the boards despite giving away some pounds. Tkachuk is his dad's son. He'll let you know what he doesn't like. I'm "seeing" Matthews more. Perhaps I'm learning what to look for. Glimpses of slowing the game down, or the genius of many of the greats. I want to watch Will Borgen.

Both teams getting sticks and bodies in lanes. Six of first eight minutes were power play (2 US, 4 SWE). Impression after 1.25 games - Auston Matthews is good, but I'd not recognize him as jump out of your chair good like I did with McDavid, Eichel, Reinhart, Eberle, RNH, Tavares, etc. Of course, with the talent on the ice in opponents Canada and Sweden, no one's grabbing the puck and going end to end. Disclosure: no one follows my tweets!

I haven't weighed in on Cuba. I agree with you.

The Big Short, the movie. See it. I watched yesterday. I read the book. I lived it in my own corner of the world, like many of us. It's must see. Particularly interesting to those active in OT: Presidential Politics. Markets, ethics, governments and Human Beings.

Bare feet, worms, or ketchup? I am amusing myself picturing pastajoe reaching for a ball pean hammer and trying to figure out when in hell's name he became a Republican while Eastside PMs him with his 97% Democrat result.
