To the learned .... Is Chad Johnson a different goaltender, today, than he was earlier this year? The words that come to mind are composure and confidence, results aside. He seems in control of himself and rebound are managed, not coughed up ... I'll hang up and listen ...

I've figured Twitter out -- Someone tweets, and if it's interesting to me, Hoss posts it on SabreSpace. Grateful! You need to sandbag if you're looking for bets. You've been to convincing for anyone to take the other side. Try this ... "Oh, I dunno, guys ... Rex may be out of his depth .... I don't have a good feeling about next year .... I MIGHT wager, as dumb as that would be ....". After ROR, you'll not be able to offer a proposition again.

I can't answer more simply than the same people who do today. Congressmen and women, Senators and Presidents. With a flat tax, I can "scam" you one way. With today's code, I can "scam" you that very same way, and a dozen dozen others. Maybe it's me, but I read your concern as equal for both systems. I'm guessing at where you are and getting to "deductions protect me". I don't get there. With a flat tax, you already have the money in your hands that a deduction would get back to you. I don't want any class of people to pay more or less with a flat tax. If you want someone to pay more, in general, propose a higher flat tax rate.

Sixty minutes of 8 vs 55 ... I love it. The game within the game.

The same people that do in today's system. There are still the same challenges, but fewer of them. Deductions and loopholes go away and more money stays in everyone's own hands. Loophole lobbyists and "the interests" look for real jobs.

Props to you and Boyes for being more clear and concise than me. I recognize the different opinions, but mine is expressed best by the two of you. By defending the rate and not having to worry about the rate and the innumerable routes to the number before the rate along WITH the rate. More false words are never spoken then when I say "I'm out". Honest self assessment!

Like the Bills - Raiders AFC Championship game ... 51-3 in a game that wasn't as close as the score would indicate. Halfway scores of 9-1 and 41-3.

I do .. A very good, exciting, tense, and satisfying tournament. IIRC we LOST gold IN Canada. edit to capture the actual result - and not my mind seeing Miller make that save!

My sons traveled on more than one occasion at this age where they, too, played on outclassed teams. It's tough on the players. There are few "moral victories" for 17 and 18 year olds. The schedule did Switzerland no favors and they'll be fighting to avoid relegation.

Thought we might see the other USA Goaltender.

3 - 0 USA. USA has already had more chances in front of the net than it did in all of the game with Sweden. The defenses are that different. Workmanlike. Patient. Better. Better rested.

This made me laugh twice.

Vid + History + DPoS review = yes. Winter Classic on deck - Krejci = interesting conversation at DPoS.

Bucky's right if running something you've never run before means you're in over your head. I was in over my head at my son's first birthday. Absent being a sports owner savant, who isn't? I might have written "after keeping the team in Buffalo, Pegula is now 12 months into developing a winner". No doubt season one has been sidewise. No doubt football managerial talent, probably from the outside, will be necessary. I reserve "in over his head" for someone who's had the time and resources to be successful but has not. Click bait headlines. The direction of the hockey club satisfies me. It really happened as quickly as it could, first day press conferences not withstanding. I think it can happen more quickly in football, although it doesn't necessarily. Two slow with Darcy and too quick with Rex?

There are some interesting web articles on Soderstrom, the Swedish goalie and NYI prospect, and his struggles with ADHD and Asperger's. http://www.lighthousehockey.com/2015/12/18/10342930/islanders-goalie-prospect-linus-soderstrom-aspergers-adhd Max Domi is a Type I diabetic (Juvenile Diabetes). It ain't easy ...

I will be happy with quality starter and a career without concussion issues. That's what I wanted and that's the risk I saw.

I thought bonehead in game one. I was correct, but fatherly instincts are taking over. I hope the kid rallies. Your point is a good one. I remember McDavid's first WJC. He skated 4th line, looked like Justin Beiber, and struggled. He, um, rallied, but those first impressions linger. I will always be a Fasching fan.

SUI USA tomorrow. That's a tough back to back for SUI. I'm hoping for tired Swiss legs, reaching sticks, penalties and our power play rebounding. DeBrincat's status remains unknown. I don't know who dresses in his stead. Poor kid's not seen a second period, yet. Edit to add: I'm not sure anyone dresses. All I can find are 22 man rosters and 22 dress. I guess we'll learn tomorrow.

The hit was, indeed, bad.

I'm a fan of Carville's despite our aisle differences. He's a "foxhole" guy ... no matter what. I had a chance to see him and Matalin speak together, oh, six or seven years ago. Great duet. My team sponsored the affair. I was able to have a drink with him, at the bar, after the event. What you see is what you get. Good man ... I'm not sure where Mary went! Impressions ... you are my SabreSpace Carville! I wanted to make sure you had a positive view of him before wrote that. One never knows how something will come across ...
