  1. Thanks for the clarification. Much appreciated.
  2. She'd be in some pretty good company. As to the reason people choose to go through this, who knows. It may very well be as simple as they care. But I gotta believe that many of the best and brightest and most qualified to govern wouldn't want to bother. It's a shame that modern politics eliminates that talent pool right off the bat, too.
  3. There is nothing to pardon her for. She has not been charged with any crime, let alone found guilty of one. Wingnut hype to the contrary simply doesn't make it true. Contrary to the FauxNews report that Brett Baier was forced to walk back lest they risk looking more like the GOP shills that they are and destroying what little credibility they have left as a news organization, the FBI did not "re-open" any investigations, let alone begin to prepare indictments. Contrary to the blatant lies Trump just gives in his stump speech, there are no newly discovered 635,000 Clinton emails for the FBI to sift through. The GOP doesn't govern; it only obstructs those that do. Let their subversive threats of investigations and indictments and impeachments continue on. It's all they have in the absence of any progressive ideas for this country.
  4. Yep. USA hockey is looking good for the future. A nice stable of young, talented players all roughly the same age that should all hit their primes around the same time. I see Olympic gold in our future.
  5. I get that, too.
  6. I get that. But theoretically, the cheap labor pool shrinks as workers around the world have similar revolutions to those we've seen in Europe and North America over the last 150 years. My hypothetical wonders what happens when the world of "cheap" labor reaches a tipping point. I'm not sure "cheap" labor is an eternal concept.
  7. Agreed. What might happen when foreign laborers have their revolutions like we did in this country?
  8. My post had nothing to do with republicans, let alone name calling; only the deep rooted type of racism that still exists in the south where there are literally "no go" zones that black people have avoided for generations.
  9. And we just don't want to be bothered by the (inconvenient) idea that this type of deep-rooted racism exists. http://www.clarionledger.com/story/news/2016/11/02/vote-trump-painted-burned-black-church-ms/93161132/
  10. I'm still marveling at the hustle play that Bailey made to beat the defender to the puck and avoid an icing call. Won't show up on any stat sheet, but that play gave us a line change and took another 40 seconds or so off the clock. That's huge at that juncture in a game like that. I'm glad Bailey was pissed about being sent down. I hope he stays made enough to make an impression and stick. He's got a lot of Kane in his game.
  11. Yep. The RAV line feasted on bottom six opposition. God, I miss that team and Lindy just "rolling four."
  12. Trump is perfect for GOP aspirations and wouldn't be any more of an empty suit than Reagan or Bush 43. But at least Reagan was a man of integrity and principle.
  13. This doesn't fit given that Trump campaign managers attended GOP platform meetings and insisted on removing all language having to do with the pro-Ukrainian position to provide state of the art missile defenses against Russia. Trump's people insisted on a pre-Russia message. This goes along with his rhetoric about NATO as well. Trump is out of his depth as a leader on the world stage; completely lacking in the mental dexterity required. Why do you think Putin is trying so hard to get him elected? You think it's because he's convinced Russia would have it easier with Clinton in office? Right. Putin is Trump's version of a great American.
  14. Vesey with 1g, 2a so far tonight.
  15. I get the comparison to a child throwing a tantrum, but that is far too nice for what the GOP is doing as children eventually mature. Not so for GOP politicians. For all their rhetoric about the Constitution and "conservative" values, their attempts to subvert the will of the American people are against the very Constitution they purport to cherish. Their latest threat to block any and all potential SCOTUS justice nominees is the latest in their treasonous pursuits. How hollow their words from earlier in the year about letting the people decide with the election of the next president sound now. Cruz advocating for having less than nine. They are playing the attrition game. Disgusting.
  16. Might as well put this here, too. http://www.startribune.com/banged-up-wild-salary-cap-lineup-issues-leave-bruce-boudreau-grumpy/399358271/
  17. Sure we are. Unfortunately, that is not the extent of the Trump dealings, at least according to that article. And given his rhetoric regarding Russia, especially his invitation for them to release Clinton's emails and the insistence by Trump campaign managers to alter the GOP platform to show pro Russian leanings, I don't think it's far fetched at all.
  18. The Wild are in a world of hurt and flirting with cap issues on top of it. We NEED to atone for last week. Dubnyk and their D has been standing on its head though. http://www.startribune.com/banged-up-wild-salary-cap-lineup-issues-leave-bruce-boudreau-grumpy/399358271/
  19. Very interesting read. Thanks for linking it. I wonder if a traitor has ever been elected US president in the past.
  20. The GOP doesn't govern. They obstruct others from governing.
  21. What's the status on DeLo and who gets called up if needed?
  22. I 2nd this notion. With the early success of Matthews and Vesey I was concerned Pi wouldn't have any good material left. Mouslon is a font of good material though.
  23. I saw that clip of their debate and my jaw dropped when he said what he said. The man is utterly clueless. Evolve or die.
  24. Why do I think, if I were the Sabres organization, that this is a good thing? Yeah, I'd love it if EK evolved into making better behavior choices on his own, but if he's not there on his own yet, I have no problem with a legal leash keeping it real for him.
  25. Too many white people paid to hold up signs reading, "Blacks for Trump?"
