  1. Mustn’t wince
  2. Luderous Ask Rob.
  3. I think some do want that, unfortunately. Witness doohickie's response. I'm with JJ.
  4. I remember posts about the tank making there way into all sorts of GDTs that year. I don't remember GDTs being summarily deleted because of it. Nobody likes being condescended to and relegated to other forums because moderators don't agree with certain viewpoints as seems to be the case around here lately.
  5. Factoring the 6 we scored vs. Edmonton in our second game of the season, 20% of our goals occurred on two nights.
  6. I'm officially hanging my hat on this hook of hope.
  7. Agree. We got off to a good start with Jack back in beating Ottawa and the Rags, but we lost that ground by losing to the Bruins and the Caps twice since. And even though he's in the lineup again, I don't think he's really "back" in the truest sense of the word.
  8. This is the type of game the Sabres win while those more important games vs. division and conference opponents are lost.
  9. What's your take on the average Japanese citizens's views of attempts by the Abe government to whitewash Japan's war time activities?
  10. Panny King is in the house!! Life is a bowl of lingonberries!
  11. What does that even mean? Just a stupid thing to say. Was it one of the younger Faux News folks?
  12. Wow, what an experience that must have been. Glad you had that opportunity. I always admired his young boy-like wonder when he talked about space and exploration. It was infectious. John Pope, a main character in Michener's Space, patterned that character after Glenn and I think he captured it perfectly based on things Glenn has said over the years.
  13. I think you meant to say "further" descend.
  14. One of my first heroes. God speed, Mr. Glenn.
  15. So, Guhle must go back once one of the injured D men is deemed ready. I didn't know about, let alone appreciate, that aspect of the NHL/CHL deal.
  16. We sit three rows up next to the bench and he spent a LOT of time wincing last night. Usually, he's a carefree chatterbox, but he was definitely distracted by something last night. Gotta be his ankle and/or his hip which got hurt vs. the Caps.
  17. Georges was paired with Franson in his last couple games before injury, no? Perhaps DD saw the light.
  18. No worries. Hope your week lightens up a bit.
  19. Same here. Gutsy performance last night when it would have been so much easier to pack it in for the evening. Lots of grimaces on that bench after the first.
  20. I was being sarcastic. No need to make it a big deal. My apologies for upsetting you. Jack was not himself on the ice OR on the bench last night and it was noticeable. I'd be frustrated, too, knowing I have an injury that is going to linger all season and feeling I could be a bigger difference maker otherwise.
  21. I was being sarcastic. Unlike some who actually diagnosed Marfan's.
  22. Back to backs are one thing, but they are REALLY hard when the second of the back to back is also the 3rd in four nights and there is late night travel involved. This team was gassed tonight after giving a good effort in the 1st and a rested Edmonton is built to wear down tired opponents. I didn't see us winning this game and we were lucky we did. A couple observations from the game: Eichel should not be playing. He is simply not the same player and it was most noticeable in person. He was terrible. I wonder if he doesn't have ADHD sometimes by the way he seems to lose focus on the ice. He couldn't bear down worth a crap tonight. We sit three rows up next to the Sabres bench and from that vantage point, McDavid was the fastest player I've ever seen. I didn't think it was possible for a human being to move that fast on skates.
