  1. You're thinking of Kujo.
  2. This is pure comedy gold! Seriously funny stuff here, pi. GO SABRES!!!
  3. Well, the Vikings certainly don't agree with that assessment. Makes it kind of a moot point. Of course they can be wrong and that remains to be seen.
  4. I think what disproves your point is that Shaun Hill's own front office was willing to pay a steep price to get another QB to start instead.
  5. They weren't referring to Bradford, they were referring to the talent the Vikings had before they acquired him. That said, Shaun Hill is not as good a QB, regardless of your requirement for statistical proof otherwise. And the Vikings front office knows it or they wouldn't have considered the deal in the first place.
  6. Pre- tournament games, yes. Team NA vs. Team Europe on ESPN 2 at 8pm. There's a schedule on the NHL site. I'd link it if I could figure out how from my android device.
  7. Cant believe Buffalo wasn't selected to host a pre-tournament game. That said, I'm looking forward to seeing Eichel on TV Thursday night.
  8. Yes, they were considered contenders by all the talking heads before Bridgewater's injury. A couple league personnel guys I've spoken to feel they have one of the more talented teams, especially on the D side. Makes perfect sense to go all in with Bradford at this juncture. Shaun Hill is a big drop off. GO BILLS!!!
  9. I predict there will be little dropoff from Bridgewater to Bradford in Norv Turner's scheme, which is tailor made for a QB like Bradford. The Vikings were a missed chip shot FG away from beating Seattle in the playoffs last season as it is and I think that defense will be even better this year.
  10. Better to be lucky than good as the old saying goes. That said, the Vikings are legitimate contenders in the NFC and it makes perfect sense for them to acquire Bradford. Remains to be seen if they gave up too much, but starting QBs aren't in plentiful supply as it is and it won't matter if they are successful anyway.
  11. Vikings going all in.
  12. Flippin' and a floppin' Grippin' and a droppin' Startin' and a stoppin' Let's call the whole thing off!
  13. Romo being damn good is a well established consensus in pro personnel circles. From scouts to GMs and all the directors in between. He gets his offense in the right plays and out of the wrong plays as well as anybody. It helps to appreciate the difference between a quarterback and a passer though.
  14. "In 2007, finance produced 40% of all corporate profits." Let that sink in.
  15. Pi with some masterful work. Funny stuff. Sorted by ability. That is comedy gold, Jerry!
  16. Regarding the Colin Kaerpernick issue, I thought I'd share this perspective that was linked by 26CornerBlitz over on TSW at TBD. Very good read. https://www.facebook.com/Stonekettle/posts/1084172264951509
  17. Ironic, seeing as how Popik is Just Another Guy!
  18. Commitment issues?
  19. Thirded.
  20. The thing I lament most about our neo-politically correct climate, especially among young people, is that satire is a dying art form for college audiences. Anyone with a modicum of understanding of satire, can watch 'Blazing Saddles' and understand exactly what kind of social comment Mel Brooks and Richard Pryor were making when they wrote it. But today's audience is too blinded and too expectant to be offended that it isn't even an offering on Netlix. A shame, really. In that regards, we have regressed a lot since the 70s. When today's comics and other producers of satire purposely avoid college audiences because of its too pc environment, something is wrong. When a Chris Rock or Seinfeld won't book colleges, something is wrong. Gone are the days when a Lenny Bruce or Mort Sahl could share acute observations and commentary on the social constructs of the day and we are worse off for it. When books like Huckleberry Finn are not taught because of the language it contains, we all lose as a society. More's the pity.
  21. Thought you'd realize I was being facetious. I will none the less clarify: there were NO market forces of supply and demand in effect that impacted the rise in price of Mylan's epipen. None. As the article in Forbes suggested, they raised the price 500% simply because they could when there were problems with the only competing product on the market. It was an immoral act in every way. And their attempts to explain and cover their a$$es are laughable. It's no wonder that they are getting bi-partisan criticism as a result. Why, even Chuck Grassley was displeased.
  22. But, but market...something, something, supply...something, something demand. If getting our priorities straight means an unequivocal understanding that life and health supersede profits, don't hold your breath. Kudos to Mylan's CEO for cashing in $5m in stock when the controversy erupted, though. Shrewd move, that.
  23. Never be used for advertising purposes. That's a good one. My goodness, what would Saul Goodman do?
  24. The point is I disagree with your assertion that he is equidistant between average and HOFer. His body of work suggests he is far closer to HOFer, actually. The only thing he lacks is playoff success. I think a lot of the anti-Romo sentiment takes root in the fact he plays for Dallas and I understand that. But the numbers he's amassed makes that a moot point. He'd be getting the same attention if he played in Podunk.
