Decision making leaves a lot to be desired this evening. Not playing with poise. Take the extra tic, assess the situation, and make a smarter play. And Skinner has absolutely ZERO hockey sense. As in none. Can't wait until Cozens gets some real help on his wings.

I appreciate the clarification. I haven’t read all the posts, so if I missed an earlier explanation, that’s on me. Are you questioning TSN’s journalistic acumen with the story? Is that the gist of what I missed?

Whether Beach ever played a second in the NHL with the Blackhawks or not, EVERYONE who mattered in that ENTIRE organization new what happened. I’m not sure why playing with the big club or not has any relevance at all.

I’m liking Hagg a ton so please don’t take my praise of Risto as a knock on him. He’s a better hockey player and that’s what matters most.

I’m gonna miss that toughness in Risto. Some of my favorite games to attend were vs. the Caps just to watch him and Ovechkin go at at it while heading up ice, out of camera view. Also one of the reasons I respect Ovie so much as well.

Yep. There’s a fine line between letting a player play thru his struggles as part of his development (which is important, btw) and continuing to let his bad play impact the rest of your prospects to their detriment.

Beach was certainly under the Blackhawk organizational umbrella so as it pertains to this case, it’s a distinction without a difference, really.

Everyone in that meeting room is complicit in whatever future crimes Aldrich committed from the moment they knew. Every one of them. Every. One. The level of cowardice on display is disgraceful.

Absolutely, but the onus is more on the players in the locker room and that room isn’t part of the coach’s realm. That said, I fully trust Donny to have his finger on the pulse.

Certainly off to a much better start than anyone predicted, but I have to see how a team handles adversity to really get a sense of how good they are. How this team responds to a two game slide, for instance. Recent teams allowed things to spiral out of control and I’m curious to see if it can be avoided with this group.

Given his apparent stance on the matter to date, I don’t think KA feels any pressure at all; not one iota. Really, the only person who can exert any pressure on Adams is his boss. And if Terry grows tired of paying Eichel to do nothing, then I can see him pressuring KA to make a deal happen but, given how long this saga has gone on, I get the impression Pegula isn’t about to start.

If that’s the case, then I’m happy to admit I’m wrong. I haven’t seen the original quote after all, so I may be way out of line. It’s just that given Friedman’s blatant shilling in the Eichel saga, I have to question his journalistic integrity.

You will be glad to eat those words about Cozens in the very near future.

So the team sarcastically placed “stepped aside” in the quotes? Really? In this case the quotation marks absolutely point to sarcasm, regardless if it was the original team quote or Friedman’s embellishment. There is simply no need for them otherwise.
