  1. Now you're just being spurious.
  2. Ah, temporary barrier walls on the streets of a major US city to assist in crowd control vis a vis a a permanent, 1,989 mile wall along our southern border. If I knew how high Trump wanted it, perhaps I would have caught the humor more readily.
  3. Sometimes, N'eo, I have a difficult time parsing your language and what it is you're trying to say. There are muslim terrorists within the homelands of peaceloving muslims. It is that VAST VAST VAST majority of muslims that need to eradicate the problem within their countries and doing so will take generations. I don't know how much clearer I can be.
  4. Another indication of the diversity of the DNC tent. You think atheists or heathens like you are welcomed in the RNC tent? Only if they sense a healing opportunity. Why should they "helpfully suggest" in the first place? The funding is already there as I pointed out above. Is the DNC or Bernie Sanders responsible for the acts of those they have no control over?
  5. The streets of Philadelphia aren't under the jurisdiction of the DNC or Bernie Sanders. Were you under the impression that the DNC or the RNC, for that matter, are on the hook for the beefed up forces, equipment, and overtime just to accommodate their respective conventions? Local, state, and federal funding takes care of it. Never had you pegged for the specious type.
  6. The stomach to bleed and suffer horrible losses in the face of those terrorists groups within their homelands. The stomach to prosecute what amounts to civil wars and the stamina to do it for decades to come. The will to establish their own freedoms and the tenacity to defend them once gained. All due respect, are you trying to goad me into saying something out loud?
  7. The larger divide among the DNC base is actually an affirmation of the diversity within the DNC tent and really isn't anything new. RNC base supporters aren't as a diverse group and have historically marched in lockstep with party leadership. As such and imo, fracture among the leadership is more troublesome.
  8. I like the cut of your jib, Randall Flagg. I like it, indeed. GO SABRES!!!
  9. Why wasn't P Kane arrested? Because the complainant did not to press charges after a months long investigation yielded little to bring to court. You seem to dismiss the four complainants in the E Kane case and their decision to press charges as unimportant. So again, to suggest P Kane, with those same four complainants pressing charges, wouldn't have been treated in the same manner, is absurd. Especially when considering both Kanes are represented by the same defense lawyer.
  10. I don't agree that it's only Vesey interested in them at this point, though. Based on appearances, it seems like the Blackhawks are also interested in Vesey at this point. Does Stan Bowman have a history of attending Foxboro summer pro league games? Are there other Blackhawk prospects he's keeping tabs on so it's just a coincidence that he's been in attendance when Vesey is playing? I honestly don't know and yes, there may be other reasons for him to be there, but it does add fuel to the rumor fire. GO SABRES!!! That takes us right back to the original question; where is the link supporting this idea? GO SABRES!!!
  11. And yet, his agent declared Chicago was on the short list of teams, anyway. GO SABRES!!!
  12. Reagan declared ketchup a vegetable. Lunch providers aren't governed by nutritional guidelines so much as by caloric guidelines. Think how ridiculous that is.
  13. I think the Blackhawk rumor gained traction mainly because of two factors: the Shaw trade that opened a spot and Stan Bowman's frequent attendance at Vesey's summer pro league games. That's in addition to Vesey's agent saying the 'Hawks are on his short list. GO SABRES!!!
  14. That says FAR MORE about Chicago and what they think about Vesey than what it says about what Vesey thinks of himself.
  15. As I said, I like the fact he wants top 6 minutes. That doesn't make him arrogant in my book, only confident; and there's a fine line to be sure. And if that is a condition he puts on teams, he is putting that much more pressure on himself to justify that demand, first before his teammates in camp and, secondly, the opposition around the league. He's creating quite a challenge for himself. I think too much is being made of the "top 6" guarantee. There are no guarantees. Does anyone REALLY think if he is promised a top 6 opportunity and he craps the bad, that Chicago or any other team would keep him in the top 6? GO SABRES!!!
  16. I would argue that we've done that for years now, especially recently in the form of the Iraqi army, Kurdish militias, and Syrian rebels. Those Muslim populations and those populations alone, have to have the stomach for it as well as the stamina to maintain it for generations to come.
  17. I hear you, but it doesn't matter if he thinks he's a top 6 producer out of the shoot (I personally like that level of confidence), only if Chicago is offering him that chance. He may end up being a total bust, but none of that is pertinent now. GO SABRES!!!
  18. The school lunch program has an interesting history going back to its inception during the Truman administration. Long story short, because large corporate food producers can offer economies of scale, the federal government saves some money. But the large producers have no incentive to offer anything other than the cheapest foods in order to serve their bottom lines, so the best nutritional choices aren't even considered. As a taxpayer, I demand that we get more for the tens of billions of dollars we give to these large producers. But these contracts have been hardwired for so long, it's difficult to engender changes on such a large scale.
  19. Hell of an opportunity for the kid. He'd be a fool not to consider an offer from the Black Hawks. GO SABRES!!!
  20. As long as the probability is greater than the odds, 3rd rounders will always be prized assets in these parts.
  21. He said if E Kane was white, he wouldn't have been charged and arrested. Seems pretty clear to me. Or was my example of a white hockey player not white enough?
  22. So, if Patrick Kane was accused of grabbing a woman by the throat, pulling her hair, and trying to force her into a car after calling her a slut, he wouldn't have any charges brought against him? All four complainants, the three women and bouncer, would have decided NOT to press charges because P Kane is white? That is absurd.
  23. Another argument to do away with the electoral college, imo. It is passe and unfit for modern society.
  24. A non vote for the least threatening is a vote for the most threatening. Or, to paraphrase the Trump worker put this morning on MSNBC, "Any Sanders supporter that doesn't vote for Hillary is a vote for Trump." Now, I'm not saying you or anyone is a Sanders supporter, just that the principle is the same. If you honestly feel both are harmful, but one is exponentially more so, your non vote benefits the more harmful of the two. Sometimes we have to bite the bullet and make the least harmful bad choice. I can't remember a national election where this was so obvious. Trump is the worst presidential candidate in my 57 years on this planet. On more fronts than I care to enumerate here. That's not an endorsement of Clinton, just my realization that Trump, based on everything he has said and done in this campaign, would be major catastrophe.
