I live in the tristate area. I could see the smoke with my bare eyes and knew people covered in the dust. There were fighter jets patrolling skies that are normally filled with air traffic. Also, soldiers with machine guns standing on every corner. Covid is just,... kinda boring. Sorta like the day after Christmas, only with no cookies and way more joggers.

I get it. I just know that if my daughter was still at home, I would not be able to keep working, and even with the two of us, after a month, I might just choose to burn the house down with us in it and be done. I'm not joking. I can't be certain that that wouldn't have been the outcome.

I can't even imagine what special needs parents are going through right now, with all of there services stopped and no end in sight.

Why do people think anyone dropped the ball? It’s hubris to think that we could have stopped the virus from getting here. People will get it. People will die. As long as our health care system can stay ahead of the demand, then what happened was supposed to happen and we will be fine. It’s a health crisis that took a financial crisis to beat. We have ways of getting out of financial crises. We always do.

I would think that we want the people who are going to be voting on multi-trillion dollar stimulus packages healthily and able to vote. I have no problem with our elected officials getting tested preemptively.

On Thursday, I had to build three more machines for broadcast to accommodate all the Zoom and Skype we are now using instead of sending people to studios.

I think there is an overreaction, to a point. I also think the mitigation tactics will work. How could they not. Am I overreacting by getting my flu shot? To some, the flu isn’t as bad.

It’s all about the curve. As long as the number of cases can be held under the capacity of the healthcare system, until it has gone through enough people until we know they can handle the rest. That’s why we need testing, to know who is no longer at risk because they already had a mild case and didn’t know it.

This is BS. The flu poses a real threat to society and will most likely kill more people than covid this year, by a lot. There’s a reason they hand out shots for free to as many that will take it. To anyone who doesn’t get the shot, you’re welcome. I’m doing my part to up the herd immunity. And yes, Jenny McCarthy is an idiot. Still think she’s funny, though. ...and hot.
