Watching the new Goon movie (it's on Netflix). It's honestly a lot better than the Rotten Tomatoes ratings make it out to be. It's definitely not the first movie by any means. The pace is a little slower and the plot is a little darker (CTE). There are some good laughs, quotable moments and new characters that work. It's perfectly good for what it is: a hockey movie.

It was the right move. This team needs to care about how it plays. Let them skate in front of Lehner for the rest of this game and feel shame. He's a big boy, he'll be fine.

Sometimes taking a leak outdoors is still fun though...

Was I supposed to watch this game tonight or something?

It's gonna be the Sharks if it happens at all. Which is what I keep saying.

The Great Crusade

This is ultimately the goal for Josie, and I think she's on her way there. Her work is generating more traffic on social media than it used to and she's gotten the attention of people who matter at times. But it's a matter of showing potential clients that "yes, illustration is something you want to buy". A lot of times businesses, especially sports teams, just don't know what is out there and what they can do with it.

It does, but I don't care. Because this team needs to score without him here.

Ideally we would move to where the opportunity is better for her, but I'm basically stuck here in Buffalo where the job I currently have is my only real path forward. I'm not able to move anytime soon, so the choice would be hers if she wanted to move without me to somewhere that was better for her career. We just spent the last couple years living mostly apart (I was in Buffalo 4 nights a week), so I don't think she's in a hurry to go back to living apart. It was pretty lonely for her and the cat. I don't think she's sick of seeing me every night yet :p

Banks? Ain't nobody care about banks. I'll deal with the banks. You're doing fine. It's going to be a slog but you're going to look back on it and be glad you did it. It's given you the opportunity to do things you otherwise wouldn't have been able to do, and been much more productive for you as an artist than just doing work for someone else's company where they tell you what to do and cut into your profits. You're cultivating a customer base and a process, figuring out where to make money. The important thing is to keep working at it. I know you're not the type to get complacent so I'm not worried. I believe in youuuuuuu.

You really need to stop worrying about "finding a job" with some other company. You have one already: your business. That's all you need to work on. Your business. That's where success and freedom lie.

He's still a better player than what we gave up for him, and he's filling a position of need. It's okay to want more from him, but all things considered the O'Reilly trade still looks good.

Nearly 31 here. I don't remember much of the Bills in the playoffs. The Sabres have basically dominated things for me since about 1997. So the Bills making the playoffs has me excited since I'll actually remember it.

Bortles isn't the problem. Stopping the run is going to be the problem. Because our defense is going to be on the field the whole game if McCoy can't play.

The problem with O'Reilly is that without O'Reilly we have no center depth. We're kinda stuck with him whether we like it or not, because the alternative is...not having him.

I think I'm tuning out until something interesting happens with the roster. Zero meaningful games left now that the Winter Classic is over.

He doesn't need to if he's just backing up Ullmark. With the assumption here being that they want to bring Ullmark up next year and are confident he'll be okay but have some rough patches. I think Cam could play 30 and win half of them.

Okay, I might start with one of them antistatic brushes and see where that takes me.

The idea that we're making Lehner look good doesn't seem too far fetched to me. As was the case during the tank years and even now, this team wasn't capable of doing much else except play team defense. They haven't been able to muster good 5v5 play so protecting their goalie is basically all they've got. I'd take Ward for a year over Lehner on a long term deal.

I had no idea that was there. Between that and Niagara Emporium, that mall is better than ever.
