Gio was fighting to get people to go along with a known dumpster fire coach. He was the errand boy of Disco Dan. If he had any leadership cred it was immediately lost when he left his teammates behind to follow Don Quixote into the void.
That said, I don't think he had any leadership cred. He was just a vet. Big whoop. No standing in a locker room full of young players who needed someone who actually had some.
I do think the team needed better veteran leadership during the tank and the aftermath. But I don't think all the leadership in the world was going to fix the mess that GMTM and Bylsma made. Those two dopes needed a leader too.
I think he just goes out there and eats minutes because that's what he feels like doing. He's talented enough to do that. He's also talented enough to do more.
I think they're already growing out of it. Jack was a more mature player this year. Sam figured it out as the season went on.
Risto is a work ethic issue. He doesn't like to be coached. I'm not sure if that's correctable and explains why his game hasn't continued to develop. He's the same, but he could be better.
I've never been a huge Rinne fan. He's been wildly inconsistent. Saros might struggle with increased workload but who knows. Goalies are goalies. Never overpay them lol
Are there? I feel like you're being generous.
I feel like if you're making a sour and you're not calling it a Berliner Weisse it's only because you're sick of people asking what that means.
The thing with sours is that no one is drinking them correctly. You're not supposed to drink sours straight, you're supposed to mix them with a flavored syrup.
Personally, I like using Chambord because it's also booze.
