Honestly, those lines are so jacked up I don't even know what I would consider them to be. I guess that's the #4 line just in terms of probable ice time. Losing Berglund and having Jack and Girgs out really makes things look...not great.

? I like the move of starting the GDT a day early. Normally it's against the "rules", but we need to get a little hype going. I vowed after the last Florida game that I would never watch another Florida game because they are always awful TV. I will be honoring my vow and taking this game in via radio only.

That was fun

I love the halftime talking heads going over the top with their praise for the Bills. Earn those paychecks gents ?

We were hoping to get to one of these games this weekend but it didn't work out. 3 home games in January bodes well though.

What is this

I can't get to the point where I think that win streak was a total fluke, so I think they're due for a good week or two pretty soon.

So you're pissed at the 18 year old rookie? That's silly. As far as I'm concerned the kid has infinite rope this season.

I thought Girgensons played a good game last night so I figure he's probably feeling it and they let him have this one off. What fans are pissed at Dahlin?

GDT - Sabres at Blues - December 27, 2018 - 8:00 PM

I think that's fair ? I wasn't impressed by most of the team's play in all areas of the ice. I thought Hutton got hung out to dry and honestly the score would have been even worse if he hadn't made a number of (un-appreciated by this forum) big saves. The first line showed up, which I appreciated. But they had a heck of a time trying to generate chances even then. -
I expect he already put this retirement thing in to the team and didn't want to step on their toes with the announcement coming today. So he simply deflected.

I honestly felt like it was the Blues forwards that were smothering us. When we could get past the forwards we were getting their D turned around. But we struggled to get around their forwards. Our breakouts and neutral zone passes were off the mark constantly because of the pressure. -
Extremely same.

Mittelstadt is definitely suffering from "not ready for this yet"-itis. I think the kid is trying, and he shows some grit in spurts, but he's clearly been worn down by the physicality of the NHL and is struggling to bring it every shift. Sobotka. Man. That guy doesn't generate ANYTHING. Okposo too. He isn't doing anything right now. Our middle six is a wasteland of wingers who aren't generating opportunities or possession. I've been advocating this for a while but apparently it's not happening because "super lines" or something.

Welp, hoping for a better effort against Boston. St. Louis' best players showed up tonight. Our middle six needs help. -

The Blues have played a good game tonight. Credit where it's due. The Sabres haven't found a way to make space for themselves. -

Hutton is going to have shellshock. When the Blues get it going they're twisting our defensemen into pretzels.
