This thread is begging for a breakout thread or title change. I had no idea there was smoke about JJ wanting out until I saw Sneaky Joe's podcast. I didn't pop in here bc the Rangers rumor fizzled out long ago.

Those lingering shots of Appert energetically rallying the boys in crunch time are not without a purpose IMHO. We've seen them all year. Ruff upstairs, hopefully only to an advisor/POHO role, Appert to HC and a new GM. It's probably the best we can hope for.

Season ticket renewals went out. The team-player-media industrial complex is firing up. All have a vested interest in keeping the customers engaged. None of this means anything for the fall. History has taught us this.

I honestly couldn't connect a Murray to the Sabres. I thought I was losing it.

It's Rene's replacement, Todd Angilly. Rene retired in 2018. And yes he was awesome. So is Todd.

That wasn't Rene Rancourt.

Also Terry didn't grow up a Sabres fan. It's even very debatable he was a fan (or much of a fan) after he dropped his season tickets and moved his company to Pittsburgh.
