OK. What if "stuff" doesn't happen? Do you think Dahlin means tinkering at the edges of the lineup? What do you think he meant?

Anyway Sneaky Joe on GR picked up on some of the things I did re: Dahlin's bad acting. Reporters (or one reporter) told him Dahlin requested a media huddle, then acted like he didn't know anything about the Biz Nasty report. He also did two things I've recognized in others and myself when the heat is on. He said, That pisses me off! when asked about the veracity of the report, and when he actually denied it, he did so in an odd way, saying he never said the word "leave." What about vamoose, skeddadle, take the next boat to Tuna Town? This is kinda fun. My verdict is he probably said some version of, If things don't change I'm gone. I mean, he did come out and say stuff has to change. And there actually was a meeting.

OK. We have an elite d stud and he can't even get the Sabres out of the basement of the conference. There's something odd about that. Does he produce when it matters most in games?

I guess my question is, if Dahlin is such a "stud," why can't he just once drag the team into a playoff spot?

Oh, TNT. Welp. I have a few days left of Max. I'm not going to renew... I tired of The Pitt after I had to go to an actual ER. I am signed in to Disney on someone else's account so I could binge watch M*A*S*H through an anxious time. I think I've done all the free trials for services that would include TNT. I am not inclined to pay to watch this game. I have zero luck with pirated streams. I guess I might try to listen to Dan.

When people study recency bias, they should go directly to a sports message board, any message board, step right up.

There can be a lot of knocks on Stoner but doom and gloom isn't really my thing. I don't go into any Sabres season, for example, thinking they are destined to fail. I just wait and see. That said, it'll be Week Two.

I do the same thing with the 10 minute ish highlight package. At a certain point you know the Sabres aren't getting this game to OT. My overriding thought: just like when the Sabres are winning this time of year, out of the race, losing also doesn't matter. It is Hockey Purgatory.

Lindy's demeanor comes off as this is an evaluation year for him. You just wait til the fall!
