Do you know how much of those games played numbers are injuries vs being the 7th guy on a depth chart? I was just looking at his injury history and I didn’t really see what I’d call plagued by injuries. There was a bout with mini and then a full year lost to knee surgery. The rest of the stuff listed didn’t add up in my opinion with the games played numbers. So that makes me wonder about the depth chart.

I am talking strictly about Timmins in a thread that is about Timmins. Bringing some player and a past action into the equation, that is moving the goalposts. Once Timmins was acquired, nothing wrong was done in the signing of Timmins.

There’s plenty of incompetence to go around. My issue is that we start blindly labeling every single thing that way. Timmins, and pretty much every single player that did so this year, is completely meaningless. There’s maybe 3 left at this point, they all got deals done. Filing is essentially just a formality at this point. Pretty much nothing goes to a hearing anymore.

He would have been a UFA after one year. This 2 year contract does buy into one year or that. But also, signing before the hearing avoids the massive headache that process is. That’s a huge plus for both sides.

That’s what we call moving the goalposts.

Quite honestly, I’d take a similar view for Ottawa too. Things are different when a player gets a full offseason and training camp with a new team.

One of the guys on the board of my HOA is a wannabe lawyer. He’s absolutely horrible at it. I had fun sarcastically pointing out his errors. The best was where he said that my emails to the HOA were never received… and then later showed the transcript of those emails. way to go, matlock.

She wasn’t a choice. But yes, I still go with the brain. He’s the greatest manager of all time. If you ever go down that YouTube blackhole of his highlights, you won’t be able to stop watching.

We had an incident with our HOA earlier in the summer where a neighbor decided to park their camper at the foot of my driveway for 18 days. They wound up having the wife and I call into one of the board meetings to talk over it and why nothing was done. They essentially blamed us for the whole thing. Aren't HOA's great?
