Let’s ignore the fact that it’s the Sabres for a second (yeah, we know they’re done because they’re the Sabres). I don’t buy this argument here at this stage in the season. With this many games left, if you sustain that pace, those steady points are far more likely to come at the expense of those teams higher up. You will jump a bunch of them in the standings. Having X number of teams to leapfrog has much more meaning when you’re down to a handful of games. But yeah, Sabres? They’re toast.

It says absolutely nothing about what could happen in this game. Let’s face it, KC losing to Houston is very unlikely.

I know there’s still one more year, but this could possibly be the last playoff game in that stadium. Enjoy it.

The woman at the front desk of the gym this morning saw my bills shirt and asked when they play next. When I answered that, she asked who. After hearing that answer she got very excited and said how great both quarterbacks are. I’m amazed that someone can be both aware and unaware at the same time.

And even if McLeod’s stick touched the puck, it was broken so he’s not in possession at that point. I’d imagine we will be seeing a slight modification to the rules after this one. The whole thing is so strange since he never actually had the puck.

I’ve been looking at the rule. It doesn’t actually say which player gets it. The wording is “the team is awarded a goal”. I’d imagine it’s covered somewhere else that I haven’t looked.
