So you've taking being a grammar nazi to a new level? I'll remember to choose my words better in the future. Here, I'll give it a shot: This list of players says absolutely nothing about the depth of the Buffalo Sabres organization. I hope that one's better. Just remember, when you read that, be sure to go with the Canadian pronunciation of "organization". We're talking about hockey here, so it just feels right.

I was going to say do the players care about the players, but you pretty much beat me to it.
-
You only get to the leap of faith if you realize that Jehovah starts with an I in Latin. Wait, who am I kidding? Allen wouldn't have to step on every single letter because he'd just leap over that trial as well.
-
So you're not a big fan of the ECHL roster? These players say absolutely nothing about Sabre depth.
-
Are there even a handful of NHL contracts in that group?
-
They should have embraced all things Philly and made the mascot a giant 9 volt battery.
-
That was Reggie Bush, wasn't it?
-
So they decided to add an extra section of high priced seats down there without actually thinking it through? Forget about the players crashing into it, I can't wait for the first fan who gets beaned either by a kick or a QB redzone throw away.

The mascot is what it is, but the name is pure garbage.
-
I should also add that Mike Commodore never played for the flyers.
-
The best name they could come up with was Gritty? If he doesn't throw batteries at people, taunt injured players, and beat up Santa, I'll be very upset.

Did Vontae Davis salvage this defense?

Blemish #2: going to BC Blemish #3: playing for the Devils while they were in the middle of murdering the game of hockey

Passing the torch might make sense if he hadn't been playing for the Bruins last year.
-
Ahhh, so it was 2-2 as opposed to 0-2. I knew there was something with the number 2 that year.

I'm guessing it was dog? He used to beat that horse over and over on TSW. He'd also claim that it's better to take a collision with the top of your head instead of the forehead, then refused to accept it when countless people offered the science that explains otherwise. There's a reason why pretty much all equipment today, from helmets to shoulder pads and shin pads, has that hard outer shell. You want to deflect impact, not absorb it. Sadly, it's impossible to deflect the impact on the inside of the equipment. About the only reasonable concern I can acknowledge when it comes to larger/thicker helmets would be the added weight. This stuff is so light nowadays though, it shouldn't be a major concern and they can definitely find ways to work around that.
-
It's worth watching though. They always bounce back strong after a loss, so this one is definitely a bit of uncharted territory.

Two in a row. Has it happened since the year where we beat them 31-0 in the opener? I might be remembering that one wrong, but I thought they lost week 2 that year too.
-
The swarming as they approached the 18th green was absolutely amazing to watch.
-
They have had a significant amount of black in their jerseys for 20 years now, something that’s nowhere to be found in the alternate/throw back. But thanks for the snark, appreciate it.

Someday the plague that is dark colored uniforms will be purged from this world. It’s happening slowly.

I’m at a place that is currently playing better days by the goo goo dolls. It makes me miss good Sabres hockey

I’m waiting for the follow up story in the national news about an American impaled by an elephant tusk.

Soft outsides to helmets should create a whole new type of problems. When something soft hits something, it essentially grabs onto it. So what you’d get is a full body in motion, which will remain in motion while the head stops at impact, resulting in a wave of neck injuries.

The federation was always the higher level varsity league in the area. It's been around forever at this point. It was there when my brother started high school in '88, but I have no reason to know how it was any longer ago than that.
