  1. He's Mike Myers after a Timmy Ho's bender on a bad hair day w/out the beard? No wonders that he grew it.
  2. Guess it must just be out in this portion of their suburbs then.
  3. The BJ's website said tix for the Baltimore series (6/24?) will go on sale 6/3. Presuming the games will still be in Buffalo then.
  4. Interesting. Did not know that. 🍺
  5. Doesn't seem to be the case. They have Seattle included and 16 teams.
  6. So, wtf did Bleacher Report get the odds listed in the OP? Just about every %age of winning is off.
  7. Pontillo's is Ra-cha-cha based and VERY hit or miss. The one in Bushnell's Basin is very good. The one nearer to where we live, isn't.
  8. So, actually, they CAN'T win the lottery & their balls getting selected would effectively be like the single unissued combination from the old 14 team lottery getting selected. And the Sabres 18.5% chance of winning is actually 18.97%. 😉
  9. Ra-cha-cha & Finger Lakes has good pizza (& some great pizza, Avicoli's in Seneca Falls is great) but it is different from that found in Buffalo. The sauce is a little different & very few places use the cup pepperoni. (J&L's being a noticeable exception.) A similar crust & lots of cheese & like that found in the Nickel City, but it is different.
  10. Do you know whether they'll reselect should the Yotes win or do they possibly forfeit 1 or 2 in addition to 12-14? Because if their pick is forfeited regardless of where they pick & they can win the lottery, that bumps the Sabres up to 21% for pick #1.
  11. For Buffalo style, Blasdell Pizza is very good. Our favorite isn't quite true Buffalo style but comes from LaPaloma's in Alden. J&L's has the best Buffalo style in greater Ra-cha-cha over near Fairport.
  12. You can still only buy up to 4 seats (no data on whether that requirement gets lifted tomorrow) even in the vaxxed sections. But you may very well be sitting next to someone outside your party there. (The BJ's website says there is no distancing in the vaxxed sections.) For the unvaxxed sections, seats are sold in pods which are distanced from other pods & you must purchase the entire pod.
  13. Unvaxxed sections will have everyone distanced. Valued sections will have different pods next to each other. Expecting they probably split the sales equally between the 2 categories. Which would explain why only ~1/3 of the tix sold were in the vaxxed sections.
  14. No worries about BoSox premiums. Only selling 8 games - Marlins, Astros, Yanks.
  15. Regular season & the final 4 rounds of the post-season are ALWAYS treated separately when compiling player stats. No idea what the league finally decided last season for the "preliminary" round garbage - whether those counted as playoffs or "other." Either way the Sabres were a single day away from clinching a spot in the psuedo-playoffs, but with them out didn't really care about the nuts & bolts of how they worked.
  16. 0.500 keeps teams ~14 points out of the playoffs over an 82 game span. They need to play at an 0.600 pace to get into the playoffs. 96+ needs to be the goal.
  17. Not sure if it's conditioning, or people wanting to be able to say THEY predicted what was going to happen. Either way, this summer is setting up to stink on the Sabres front.
  18. To the bolded, respectfully disagree completely. O'Reilly was venting at the end of an embarrassingly bad season. Don't care that he did. He's in the discussion for best 2 way C's in the league & the Sabres would be far ahead of where they are if he was still on the roster. Not to mention any of the return on that trade, but odds are they don't end up bringing in Skinner if they still have O'Reilly. Which also puts the Sabres in a better situation today.
  19. Well, fortunately Adams has an option to break the cycle right in front of him: DON'T trade Eichel/Reinhart - draft #1. Add Danault. Now, assuming Eichel is healthy in October - a big if, but not impossible, and they have all 4 C slots covered w/ 1-2 contingency plans should any of the 4 pencilled in not pan out or get injured. And that's with Eakin buried in Ra-cha-cha & no 4C such as Sheahan brought in for cheap. They also have enough W's to adequately (if not ideally) cover the top 6 & cover the top 9 fairly well. Fix the GTing & get the right coach. Cycle broken. 😉
  20. They don't call it a New York minute for nothing.
  21. Or, how 'bout just hitting the wide open ####ing net?
  22. And, as @TomWebster pointed out, at the stage of his career that Adams is at, everybody thought Sakic was a joke. Nobody's laughing now.
  23. Wouldn't that be a kick in the shorts if it is. For all the superficial similarities of Adams/Granato to Beane/McDermott, 1 big remaining difference is both football guys that were inexperienced in their new roles brought in MANY experienced guys to help them. That makes a difference & doubt McBeane would've been nearly as successful without those sounding/planning boards.
  24. Interesting line of thought. Liked the post, but don't truly "like" it because if you're right then we are on the verge of another rebuild. And 6 years of rebuilding is already ~3 years too long. (Which corresponds to a horribly misguided trade, but we digress.) If the die has been cast & they're planning another rebuild at least this time they have several players that will be hitting their prime when newly added top end talent could help contribute. But that is of small comfort. Not even remotely looking forward to the next 2 seasons if they are going to rebuild.
