  1. Radio.com let's you review 24 hours at any time.
  2. Thanks. I looked it up, but I misread the information.
  3. Edit: my mistake. I misread the information I looked up.
  4. I read one article from, I think, two years ago that said we had one of the larger organizational structures in the league.
  5. We have no idea if what happened today is permanent or not, but it would probably be instructive if a comparison was made to what the Sabres look like today (or in the new near future if there are changes) to what other organizations look like. Maybe a sampling of big market teams versus small-market teams. despite the interest, I don’t have the desire to do this myself. But the comparison would be informative.
  6. “It’sperfectly reasonable that they recommended change, but torecommend hiring an even more inexperienced GM ismalpractice. “ Lol. I’m not even sure what you are responding to. I responded to the above comment that the consultants recommended they fire him. I am simply saying that the timeline, Terry’s words to the reporter, and what was said in the press conference today regarding Jason’s employment status all jive. They wanted to keep him, but he would not make the change they wanted. You said otherwise in the quote above.
  7. Disagree with what?
  8. You can feel free to go about your own internal thought process. I am just going to assume that the reporter who said they talk to Terry who said Jason did not want to make changes they asked and was then fired for not making those changes is the reason. Occam‘s razor.
  9. This seems mainly a product of your imagination. If you haven’t read the TSN piece, you will read that the Pegulas and Botterill disagreed regarding The structural changes that the owners wanted to implement and that Jason did not want to change the organization. That was the philosophical reason why they parted ways. Saying this was the work of a consultant is a complete stretch.
  10. How did you get “recommending the fire Botterill“ from that?
  11. Could you please rephrase? That’s confusing.
  12. lol. Thanks. That makes sense now.
  13. What does non-NHL people even mean?
  14. FWIW, on Twitter Tim Graham was told they have been losing $50M-60M a year in recent years. if that is in the ballpark then it is hard to call that cheap.
  15. I bet you will feel God in that Chili's that day.
  16. Can I take your explanation and make that the original post? ? My answer is that we have definitely moved back into a small market structure. My gut tells me that will happen as long as the team is not experiencing success moving forward. My gut also tells me that once we do experience success they will bring in additional resources to “finish the job”.
  17. Absolutely. If there isn’t any gratification of getting the accolades from winning, then the money they are spending at the moment is foolish. And maybe when they had $5 billion and they only had the Sabres that wasn’t an issue. Now it’s an issue.
  18. Then either there is not a spot for him to fill or he wasn’t wanted by the people he would assist.
  19. I don’t really follow the AHL, but someone mentioned they may cancel the entire year. That would be the simplest explanation.
  20. If we are to believe the TSN article and talks were had over the last several weeks, then it’s completely reasonable that they brought in high-level people into their office and told them they need to streamline the operation and asked how they would go about doing such a thing.
  21. Not to be jerk, but I think you missed the entire message of the PC. You want to hear how they think they are going to win the Stanley Cup. That wasn’t their message. That is not what they wanted to tell us. And they didn’t. The direction, at least in the short term, is to reduce costs of this organization. They didn’t speak hockey. They talked financials the entire time.
  22. Why is this topic different from the others?
  23. This was the exact cartoon I was thinking of.
