More talk of finances. This isn't jumbled PR points.

Sabres Announce GM Jason Botterill has been Fired. Kevyn Adams Named GM

Kim followed up with a good answer. No one knows what people are like until you work with them day to day. Completely fair. -
I would say reality includes finances. PR to fans avoids talk of finances.
-
I think it lacked any hint of PR influence. I heard it as being proactive regarding income flow and that this change was either a response to a lack of revenue or fans staying away because of Botterill.

The answer from Terry was pretty bad.

Shocked he just didn't pull the f-bomb. It was everything just shy of it.

What an unprofessional phrasing.

One would need to know the failure/success rate first and also take into the account context regarding the building plan when they first got here. The sample size is minuscule. Rex Ryan is the true black mark on their decision list. The rest belong in the bin of tried and failed people who didn't reach the top. They are everywhere in sports. -

Some say revolving door because they are incompetent. I'm suggesting that revolving door exists in many places because of the nature of the job and its associated failure rate. Why can't it be that Botterill was a good choice at the time of the hire, but belongs on a laundry list of people who didn't succeed? -

Football isn’t even close to hockey in salary cap management. -

If you have a predictive method to choosing people in sports, better than what is being used today, you would be wealthy beyond your wildest imagination. -

and what is this narrative? A different take on this is that the position isn't easy to fill and like NFL QBs, scouted by the best of the best, more fail than succeed. -

The news is literally still in the air falling out of the frying pan and headed to the floor… Buffalo fan complains. Classic. -
You are why the filter was made sir.

Donald J Trump, your thoughts on his Presidency
SDS replied to LGR4GM's topic in The Oval Office (Politics)'s Topics
Disagreed. I have seen many many police chiefs/unions get on television and say they won’t follow orders if they don’t agree with them. The constituency of the police force has changed radically in the last 25 years since the crime bill was passed. From my understanding it is much more right leaning, much more pro second amendment, much more assault type rifles. There was a time they were for more gun control in a banding of certain weapons. That’s long gone. It’s a different group of people. -
Yes, they will be updated as soon as I can.

Where do you see mass hysteria? It may be different where you are, but there is no mass hysteria here in Maryland.
-
It is poorly written because it literally ignores the main reason for all of this and that is the the health care system. Those extra sick people are going somewhere. There are treated by someone. That someone may or may not even be (inadequately) equipped, disregarding the fact that even if they were protection isn't 100%. The author conveniently leaves that out.

Knowledgeable posters 1A and funny posters 1B. How is your sense of humor?

That is an ugly rock to look under. Unfortunately we’re long past that point that it needs to be analyzed. You have two extremes. One where everyone makes exactly the same and the other where one person controls all the money and nobody has anything. We are hurtling towards the latter.

I don’t have hard numbers other than a porous memory. The group was greatly diversified 12 years ago. I’ve been people watching a long time and there are fans that will engage through thick and thin and then there are others who don’t care to discuss things if there aren’t enough positives to balance the negatives. Ten years of losing hockey will cause people to reprioritize their hobbies.

What does a "plan" even mean? Do people think he doesn't recognize the need for another center? His plan could be to get a very good center. Do people think a plan is getting player X from team Y by doing Z to be a plan? Because that takes two to tango. Not having a plan seems to be synonymous with not knowing where the weak spots are. Having a plan and not being able to execute it, may or may not be an indictment of him. One would have to say more than "you figure it out" if he can't turn chicken ***** to chicken salad.
