  2. Your position makes a lot of sense. However, I think that playing with older and better players, even as a lower pairing player, would be better preparation for him. I also think that the better training facilities and traveling accommodations will better serve him.
  3. Even if UPL was healthy I see Lyon as the better (safer) option in net. I hope Norris can stay healthy. He can put the puck in the net. A first line with Tage and Norris should be productive. My preference would be to include Tuch on that first line but it appears that Ruff sees it differently.
  4. Chad D says it’d be bad to go from AHL to WHL. Myself, I have no clue.
  5. No he was a European Transfer to the Seattle so the NHL CHL Rules do not apply to him
  6. He is 18 and drafted from the WHL juniors. Is his time in Rochester limited? It must be.
  7. I wouldn’t be surprised if they just have him practice with the team for the week and then send him back to Seattle.
  8. The best part is he can still go to Seattle in the WHL if needed. He needs top pairing minutes, be on the power play and/or the penalty kill where ever he plays this season Give him a few weeks in Rochester but if he is going to be a 3rd pairing D for the Amerks, Seattle is a better place for him
  9. The hometown announcers were able to.
  10. What's impressive about Mrtka is that in his brief exposure to NHL play is that when watching him you never got the sense that he was overwhelmed and didn't belong. Clearly, he needs more experience but he's a legitimate prospect who will be playing in the NHL in the near future.
  11. Hardly anyone pronounced Dom's last name right.
  12. But yet he is the opposite with the Bills. His problems with the Sabres stem from these things: 1. He thinks he knows the game 2. He gets infatuated with people he knows and likes 3. He does not fit into or trust the NHL establishment and feels they led him astray. Just curious, are you retired yet?
  13. Best place for him.
  14. Having a good finance guy on the staff is a nice.
  15. Per Sabres PR
  16. He is “good to go” to the bank to deposit the 5 mil overpayment.
  17. You are right that he was initially rushed. And that was a mistake for the player and organization. However, it seems that is not the case now. I wouldn't be surprised if Levi ends up with the big club this season. But at least it would be after some extended play in Rochester.
  18. Preseason training and practice means a lot. Preseason games, not as much when you are looking at AHL players and below. My big concern is if the goaltending holds up, and can even steal some games early, while the team comes together.
  19. Any sport?
  20. Look at any sport. The teams that are routinely bad have bad ownership. Everything Pegula does is wing-and-a-prayer combined with obtuse stubbornness. Imagine going into year fifteen of not making the playoffs in a league where it shouldn't be that hard, and relying on this combo in goal.
  21. Today
  22. I think everything lays on Lyon’s shoulders. UPL can’t stay healthy and is dicey when he is, Georgiev inspires no confidence and Levi is in Rochester.
  23. I caught parts of the game with the Pittsburgh feed. The announcers were the most low key boring guys I have ever heard. I flipped back and they said Norris was hobbled trying to get off the ice. PLEASE tell me Norris isn’t hurt.
  24. On top of that, Terry spent about 200 million to buy the team. It's worth 1 billion more now. Terry would have to be losing 75 million a year or so to actually have a bad investment. And that's every year.
