  1. Past hour
  2. It’s the AHL, take all the terrible self promotion and scheduling atrocities from the NHL, then Make it worse.
  3. It’s sickening, you want to beat the Oilers or other teams, you need to hit teams top players every chance you get! Come on people we have probably all played the game and you put yourselves in spots every game where you can be ran!
  4. Thomas Vanek - President of Facial Expressions Sabretooth had been promoted to team dentist.
  5. Does it? Can barely see it. Honestly I also didn’t notice for a long time that 90s logo of theirs was a skate Looks like a planet lol
  6. A 4 receiver set of Coleman, Palmer, Shakir and Davis sounds nice. Well rounded, each guy has a different skill set. I could see it working. Might make Kincaid redundant.
  7. Better to go out with the OG was only a one year thing anyways!
  8. There aren’t enough emojis for me to use to express my feelings on it. Just outstanding. And super sad statement about the current state of affairs.
  9. Is there a "U" somewhere in the logo? Full disclosure on the question. It took me many decades, like 4, to realize that that original Canucks logo, the rink and stick, had a C in it.
  10. The Thoner experiment has ended?
  11. Good to have the real @PASabreFan back, Stoner was a diversion, but the original is best.
  12. Today
  13. I found a site saying he made $60K/year, which is about $450K in todays dollars. This seem about right for the time. This was big money back then, but obviously nothing like today. You could but an Orange ticket for about $4 or $5 if my memory serves (less if you had season tickets). Of course there were no Sabres tickets to be found in the 70's since every game was sold out, if you didn't have tickets you had to know someone that did. Thankfully, the classy Knox's did not gouge us and there was no ticket master/stub hub to allow us to gouge each other. Sometimes less is more.
  14. Jacksonville is paying him something like 11 million this year. So he’s making bank wherever he goes. Might as well go some place he knows he can produce and is well liked (in the locker room). I doubt he gets anything too expensive this year.
  15. Two last names? That seems as untrustworthy as someone with two first names.
  16. Honestly - ya. It’s the fact they are so comfortable in the idea they won’t be they leave their mouth guards hanging out for style purposes. I don’t mean occasionally- they chew on them as accessories because they aren’t needed They literally will not wear them, not being hyperbolic. You don’t do that unless you know you won’t get hit. Some of it is their natural evasiveness, but there’s a level of comfortability there too
  17. Maybe Punch back in 70-71
  18. Goddam Vegas goalie splayed out and stick flying like he just got hit by a mortar round.
  19. Breaking news: they're out of the basement.
  20. Gabe Davis was the best blocking WR we've had in a long time. If he didn't drop half the balls thrown his way, he'd be a very good, maybe even great receiver. I'd take him back on a very cheap deal.
  21. Gil Perreault, Voice Consultant
  22. Maybe the most satisfying non-Sabres goal I have ever seen in my life...wow, undressed, broken ankles - just incredible.
  23. Seen Victor play all season here in Vegas, he’s been in and out of the lineup and would probably not have played these 2 games if Pavel Dorofeyev wasn’t injured. I thought he had a really good game yesterday filling in on that powerplay unit because of his one timer. Not sure if they resign him when the season is over because he’s a decent player who played a solid two way game but the offensive numbers just aren’t there.
  24. Who else is getting sick of McDavid and Draisaitl never getting hit. I felt this same way when Patrick Kane was in his prime. It’s the playoffs these players need to be hit and hit often, it ain’t ***** pickup hockey. Hit these star players every chance you get like McAvory did to McDavid during the 4 Nations.
  25. I have been saying this for quite awhile. To the bold, it comes down to the vast differences between Adams/Granato and Beane/McDermott. I heard Adams in an interview years ago defiantly not own the Sabres drought. I totally disagree with his approach. Sean McDermott on the other hand owned the Bills drought. He said that although he wasn't here for it, he has to own it and so do the players if they are going to change it. Priority 1 for McDermott was to change it and make the playoffs, make the team "Playoff Caliber". McD put signs up everywhere and set the tone for better work and better preparation. Remember his saying about hard work and good preparation during the week was "earning the right to win". The leadership contrast between the two teams is polar opposite and I do not understand why Terry does not see it and fix it. The two sports may not have a lot in common operationally, but the things that winning organizations consistently do are very common.
  26. I just assumed it was the world’s longest hyperlink.
  27. I challenge everyone to find a trophy with a more badass name than that.
