It is obvious that this isn’t going to work. This team isn’t good enough. They can string 2 impressive games together and people think “they might be finally taking a step” well the next step is always backwards. Adams and crew need to be replace now. Do a real search and bring in the best front office people available and let them figure this mess out. This is another bottom 10 finish incoming and nothing that shows the future will be any brighter

Tage is not a center. He needs space to be effective. The problem isn't that the players are unfamiliar with each other as it is a bad fit. The Sabres needed to add another top 6 player to the roster. The scrawny GM didn't do it. He's a small-minded staffer who's an incrementalist in a big picture position. In other words, he's a typical Pegula bizarre bad hire who he is comfortable with. Hiring him for the position was bad enough. But keeping him on after five plus years is an inexcusable malfeasance by the owner who appears to simply not care. The Ruff coaching era should have concluded with his Jersey stint. He had a good career that ran its course. This was a nostalgic hire made in a fraudulent search process by the impenetrable owner. It's bad enough that the owner makes bad decisions, but it goes beyond that to the point of making weird decisions. That's where we are at. The Sabres have a third-rate owner with a third-rate GM (being kind) with a third-rate coaching staff. This bozo hockey brain-trust has put together an ill-fitting roster. And no matter how you manipulate it will not be suitable fit. That's where we are at.

PTR will have to explain how Comrie managed to make so many saves after mistakes were made around him.

I do not see them winning 1 game on this road trip. Given the lack of urgency in this roster to even play organized hockey at this point I believe we are witnessing the start of the Sabres annual Nov/Dec 10+ game losing streak.

What’s up with Thompson? He hasn’t scored a goal in the last 6 games. And Tuch has scored only 1 goal in his last 6 games. Think Ruff and Appert are ruining two of our top scorers. Too many line changes and too few PP changes. Time for these two players and a few others to have a ComeToJesus Meeting with Ruff.

For those giving upl a break, saying the defense in front of him was bad, agreed. But it would be nice for your goalie to steal a game every now and then for you. UPL doesn't do that. So the reason I don't want to see upl anymore is because of his inconsistent play and inability to steal a game

We don’t know what is going on with the goaltending and neither do they. We don’t know how the Sabres have them ranked or who is the most tradable. After signing Lyon, why did they pick up Georgiev and then Ellis? UPL was hurt and they know Levi is not ready. It is going to be hard to evaluate a goalie with the team defense being so bad. My biggest disappointment in Lindy Ruff has been the way his team plays defense. They make too many errors, they play too casual a game in their own end of the rink. He and his staff have not fixed a root cause problem with this team.

I said it after the 2nd period, I’ll say it again, the top line has to change The first line is terrible right now. Norris-Tage- Benson were a combined -7, with no goals scored. They were terrible in Philly too. Norris and Tage do not click right now, and they don’t know each other on the ice. Top 6 needs updating. Four road games to go, they to win them all to have a .600 trip.

Agreed. Adams often paints himself in a corner. I’m certain his biggest fear is that the goalie he moves goes on to thrive in another environment, while the two he keeps play to middling results. Also, unless he can clear Ellis through waivers, they are one injury away from Levi having to come up, and from the American’s season being turned over to a couple of rookies.

The worst part for me is that something needs to be done, ANYTHING regarding the front office/decision makers. The ONLY thing that isn't OK is to let things go this long and not make a change. If a change was made, we can debate is the new GM the right guy? Was it correct or not to bring in a POHO? Should a bigger purge of the front office or scouting department have happened (50% of the guys gone or 100% gone?) Stuff like that. The only thing this fanbase doesn't want is no action...yet that is the ONLY thing we get. This franchise doens't appear to be going anywhere. A reset is needed, on ice included. Unless this team lucked into a vezina quality goaltender that is. Let say somewhat this team squeeks into the playoffs, then what? Is this roster EVER going to contend for a cup (again, unless they get that Vezina goaltender)? Statistically and at their ages, you are getting "peak" Thompson and Norris. Tuch is at his peak and probably starting to decline. You dont' really have a bunch of 'stars in waiting' that will pick up from the older guys and take this team to the next level.
