  1. Past hour
  2. I dunno. Are you requesting a detailed trade X for Y, draft Z kind of breakdown? I think plan equals what decisive change could be made to palpably improve the direction of the franchise. Maybe you've got a different criteria. In any event, what's the point of indulging the yen for playing fantasy GM? It's tiresome at this point to reiterate the kind of needed change that everyone talks about ad nauseam. Find a way to bring in a top 4 RD that plays sound defense to pair with Power, etc. The Sabres have become a perduring league wide embarrassment because of Pegula's earned reputation on the basis of his decisions for the entire tenure of his ownership. Whether he is also the victim of some bad luck or forgivable ignorance, at least at the beginning, is immaterial to where he has now brought the organization. It's evident that no one respects Adams, so continuing to keep him only prolongs and exacerbates the poor negotiating position the Sabres find themselves when it comes to making trades and drawing free agents. The simplest and most efficient way to change that would be to bring in someone with a proven track record and clearly move away from the neuralgic proclivities that are the manifestation of Pegula's fearful or arrogant wounded pride.
  3. Plan. I don’t see any.
  4. Today
  5. How about just fire KA, hire a competent GM, and let the GM make intelligent trades and coaching hires? Here's an idea. Hire Rob Blake. One obvious move would encourage the fans and the players that there is intelligent leadership, rather than madly pursuing the persistent desire of ownership to insulate itself from the consequences of historic ineptitude.
  6. I bet Adam’s put sound effects and animations on every slide.
  7. So. Fix it. You have an idea? Sure. Fire everyone. Now what?
  8. I hate this team. I hate Pegula. I hate that I will likely die before I see a winner in Buffalo and I'm in good health.. Moron franchise. Just morons.
  9. I know you are (and I said ages ago one of Power or Byram should be traded as we have enough offensive D men with 2 we don't need 3) so if you think Power has the greater ceiling you keep him. Adams paid him so that doubles down on it for him to stand by his decision. The issue is why trade for Byram at all? It's clearly a plan to avoid paying people. I'm throwing the 15 years out there because I can no longer treat this team as a normal team. I can't discuss in good faith how next year it'll be better or this time we draft the right guy or Adams will finally make good deals and all the normal stuff with sports. It's clear the franchise isn't normal They are seriously broken and there is no fix in sight. There is no faith and there is no room for belief. Believing in this team running it back and it somehow working would be an indicator that you should seek therapy and/or medication because you are clearly insane if you do that. I will not be fooled again. I mean look at this pathetic franchise. Posted up top from sabres.com, season in review Josh Norris. What f'n season? Just ridiculous.
  10. Byram to Penguins in exchange for Bryan Rust. Quinn to Rangers för Braden Schneider. There. I fixed it.
  11. I have a basement he can move in to. A modest 5k a month for him. I’ll even throw in a backyard hockey pond, as long as he foots the quarterly water bill. oh, and I’ll expect him to use the laundry mat down the road a mile or so.
  12. This doesn't make any sense. It's just another emotional rant.
  13. IMHO - I don’t see Byram signing a bridge deal unless both sides agree to arbitration. If Byram doesn’t want to be here, then I am inclined to believe Pegula and Adams will try to move him vs. overpaying to keep him. If other teams believe Byram doesn’t want to be here, then they can and should lowball Adams.
  14. Dude, don’t make that trade. Say no to EP. Norris, if healthy, will be a good player. Östlund looks good so far.
  15. Don't forget about every God awful power play, which feel like it's a 5050 chance of becoming a shortie for the opponent 😃
  16. It's been 15 yrs of foolish decisions. You may want to encourage more bad decisions but I don't. We're discussing a particular player, not the history of the sordid Pegula tenure.
  17. You know what would be fun??? Collecting enough money to pay for a billboard. A billboard that GM Shevyn (kudos to DarthEbriate for that nickname) is likely to see, almost every day. A billboard that says, something like, "Hey Kevin, a REAL owner would have fired your [cartoon donkey] by now!!!!" Oh, how cathartic that would feel!!! 😃
  18. I hope you’re right. I could use a reward.
  19. Patience? Are you f'n serious? It's 15 years.
  20. Ya and I guess that's what Pegula believes as well. Eventually it'll all just fall into place. I'm just pissed they have no urgency or real desire to win. Giant war chest filled with prospects. Lots of trades you could make and they are just running everything back. Norris instead of Cozens and Levi instead of Reimer and that's it. I guess a Byram trade for who knows what so the D is even thinner. This year Adams will do something good though right? Right.
  21. If you expect me to defend KA as a GM, then you haven't read my many comments on him. KA is often wrong on assessing players and brutal in constructing a coherent roster. That doesn't mean that everything he does is wrong. I'm resolute in my judgment of this particular tall and lanky defenseman. I'm very comfortable and confident that he will soon be a primary core player for us. Be more patient and you will be rewarded.
  22. I'm a staunch Power supporter. I strongly believe that when he physically matures he will be the better player. He's a tall and lanky player with a lot more ability to fill-out. Just like it took Tage a few years to become more physically developed, I see the same process applying to Power. I'm tired of seeing this fool franchise get rid of young players who become upper echelon players in this league, such as Eichel and Reinhart. (I'm aware that the situations were more complicated, but if Power is dealt our loss will be another team's big gain. Be patient and get the right partner for Power. I'm adamant about my position on this player.
  23. Byram played with Dahlin. End of story. Even a 6'4 225lb 2nd round marshmallow can look like a $30,000,000 player next to Dahlin. 😞
  24. Maybe the better way to put it...I don't think you have room to pay 3 dmen elite $$$. So if its dahlin and power who stay, you need to move Byram. And the underlying numbers spin the narrative that byram isn't a plus player without dahlin.
  25. The organization? The same organization the gave Power a huge contract after 80 games. That would be the GM that traded for Byram, then a year later admits he didn’t have a plan on how to use him.
  26. Byram had a better year. Right now I prefer his game over Power. Both are very young. Compared to Power, Byram can play just as many minutes, probably more. He did not get nearly as much PP time and still finished just 2 points behind Power. Byram was +11, Power -13. Coincidence? Byram was much more physical and more involved. What is Power doing to make you so positive?
