PSE was disposed and Pegulas camp said "don't worry without out Kim, we just don't have the bandwidth to keep all this under one roof. We're not going anywhere" Then Pegula renegotiated the BCA lease agreement in Rochester and his camp said "Don't worry, this is standard business procedure. It's just a new deal because PSE is gone. We're not going anywhere" Later Pegula actually pulled out of the management portion of his BCA agreement and said "Don't worry. We just don't want to manage arenas anymore. But were totally staying put" Now he sold the Nighthawks, which was mentioned numerous times in all the above as being safe from being for sale.

Nah, Zito’s smart enough to maximize the asset.

Trading Peterka for 3 and 3 for Dobson makes some sense to me. The Isles would get Hagens and Schaefer, which would be a home run for the fan base. Not sure what you mean by “only 2 teams”. Philly, Dallas, Anaheim, Rangers, Winnipeg, Seattle…what have I missed?
-
Damn wow haha. Yeah my (relative) youth is showing.
-
I think other GMs might have hung on to Zegras a little more tightly. I can’t think of another GM more likely to be annoyed by him than Verbeek.
-
Yep, always best to see how the whole think plays out. Two players the Sabres could use have moved for prices the Sabres could afford: If when the dust settles we’ve improved more than Marchment and Zegras for Krebs, good.
-
If they offer the 3rd for Peterka you take it and then you flip that 3rd for Dobson or somebody we need. Flip the 3rd and the 9th if needed. Can't see nobody wanting that 3rd pick which could be a Frondell or Misa. Or keep the pick and flip Norris. other options. We have so many young assets this can't be that hard. There are only 2 teams at this point who have done absolutely nothing and that's us and the Leafs. It's ridiculous.
-
Doubt it. Zegras had issues. Declining production, injuries, doesn't play defense. I think a lot of teams weren't interested. Philly willing to gamble since they have the assets to trade without affecting anything else. Michkov-Zegras-Konecny as a line could be sick, but probably have a lot of goals scored against them too. Might be entertaining though. Maybe they'll Michigan pass for a double Michigan.

Also true!

Russians love the Rangers. Makes Schnieder and Miller more likely to be traded.

Would you extend 29 year old Tuch for 7 years 59 million?

Pay Tooch what he’s worth. This team desperately needs credibility. -

That deal looks good as the cap increases. He’ll be an offensive and defensive asset for the next few years. After that he becomes serviceable but still a leadership asset to mentor younger guys. Just do it KA. -
Well, that seems like a win for Buffalo

Athletic anonymously polled 50 top prospects. Among their questions: Which NHL team would you least like to draft you? One said Buffalo. Seven said Winnipeg (hi @Thorny) 2 each Montreal and Toronto. 31 said they'd be happy with whoever picked them. https://www.nytimes.com/athletic/6390727/2025/06/23/2025-nhl-draft-prospects-player-poll-ncaa/
