  1. Today
  2. Resulting to name calling now? Would you like your kicker back? Would that ease your wounded ego?
  3. I’ll say it again: McD can coach my team as long as he wants.
  4. At this time last year, Levi was being rushed, Reimer was with San Jose, and Luukkonen was fall flat after and solid previous season. This year, we have the veteran in the lineup and playing almost exclusively. The kid (Ellis) has played one “no one has video on me yet” game, and Luukkonen has had one good showing and one messy one.
  5. Jayden Daniels just destroyed his left arm during meaningless football, down 38-7 late. Very ugly injury.
  6. There was pretty clear confusion on the field for at least 3 of those defensive timeouts. I think it was the last one where KC actually snapped the ball while one of the corners wasn’t even facing the play and still talking the the LB about where they should be lining up. They had the one where an incomplete deep pass happened after the timeout, but that only happens because half the players have stopped running after the whistle. Some of those time outs may have actually been game savers. It confused me because the broadcast didn’t even seem to care. But then again, half the time they’re too busy trying to work in a 13 second reference.
  7. It was great..I was shocked seeing him play so well...
  8. Always meant to watch them The MEME nudges me closer to pulling the trigger...
  9. I expected this years GA to be better than last year, even at this point in the season. We won a few games because of goaltending. Anyone know GA(Expected) for the same time periods?
  10. The team looks markedly better. Ultimately, goaltending is going to make or break the season, as is the case with most NHL teams.
  11. My nether regions were tingling watching him play tonight. Or motivate him
  12. They took an offensive time out and ran it up the middle. How about roll Allen right, and show the intent to run, then back off and look for pass to a big target, we have several. If the pass is not there Allen tucks it in and runs, and stays in bounds. A run/pass option. He has done this play many, many times with success for prior OC's. Or run the plays that they did, run out the play clock, take the 5 yard penalty, and punt it inside the 10 instead and in a corner. Instead of kicking a FG with an injured kicker and giving them the ball at midfield.
  13. Have seen Allen called for that exact play that Mahomes didn't get called for. Had Mahomes not gotten called for the grounding earlier expect there's a reasonable chance KC does get called there (say reasonable, not that it's likely, intentional or not KC gets calls other teams don't get; just like Filly gets calls on the tush push that others don't get) but not after the controversy of the earlier call. My 2 cents, YMMV.
  14. Team looks like it has more compete and more grit. Would like to see what a healthy team looks like.
  15. Surprised we’ve allowed more goals as GT seems much improved. Concerned that the PK % is not sustainable. PP improvement is to be expected based on that abysmal prior year number. On ice plays seems much better even with all the injuries. Benson and Doan are early drivers for a culture change so hopefully we remain in the fight.
  16. That may be the official rationale, but the reality is it was the refs giving Kermit a "makeup call" for having had the audacity to call him for grounding the drive before when the Bills lineman's hand grazed the ball on the one Mahomes intentionally grounded. It also was VERY close to having been touched by a Bills lineman before hitting the lineman in the helmet so pretty sure that also went into giving him the benefit of the doubt. This is the crew that called the WR for illegal motion or offsided on the Home Run Throw Forward Kelce had the last time they played in the RS in KC to take away their TD so they were on their best behavior to try not to give the Swifties sads.
  17. Record last season: 4-7-1, this season: 5-4-3 Goals scored: last 31, this: 37 Goals allowed: last: 36, this 38 Power play: last: 2-22, this: 8-40 Penalty kill: last: 75% this: 90.5% Discuss.
  18. I thought about this for a bit, and I don’t agree. While I’m with you that an additional first down would have iced the game, on that drive the Bills converted one first down and then ran three times to burn the clock as much as possible. I think that was the correct play. KC didn’t have any time outs after the missed FG. And if the FG is good, game over right there. Long story short, I’ll take three run plays and a 47 yard try with :40 to go versus the risk of an incompletion and double the time left. I think the Bills had it right. My biggest gripe is McD using five of his six timeouts on Def/Special Teams. I mean, come on lol
  19. Thompson blocked that shot about 1-1/4 - 1-1/2 minutes into OT. That 1st unit wasn't passive the 1st minute of OT but looked to be getting tired pretty soon after that and after Thompson was hobbling around they were fortunate to even get Tuch off the ice.
  20. That and he was very clearly throwing to the guy standing directly next to him. I swimming if it hit the lineman there with no one anywhere near him then they call it. If you take a look at the top of the running and passing stats you will see exactly what this team needs to be. Cook and Kincaid led the way. It’s a completely different game with Kincaid back and healthy.
  21. It's also about goalies being able to see pucks and defending the net front area. Timmons and Samuelsson have been very good on the PK.
  22. Awful is a SLIGHT exaggeration, but not by much. He was very bad in the 1st 60 minutes, though he did improve slightly in the 3rd. He wasn't moving well, gave up huge rebounds, was playing small, slow to react. Would say he had 1 nice NHL caliber save that wasn't shot into his logo in the 2nd period and would give him about 3 of those in the 3rd. And, good for him, his teammates did a very good job of getting to those huge rebounds after the 1st few minutes of the game and did a good job of limiting the true high danger chances against. But, OT went about as well as he could've hoped for and with any luck at all that and the SO will get him the self-confidence he needs so much because it is so evident how much his game changes when he's playing with confidence vs when he has little to none. Surely there are other guys in the NHL that are hit or miss as much as he is but particularly like he is with large stretches of 1 or the other not really a true good today, bad next game, so so the next after that and so on and so forth; but don't watch enough non-Sabres games to indentify who they are.
  23. It's a combination. His size and how he plays together.
  24. I know about the blocked shot with Thompson but it was even before that. It was almost the whole OT.
