  1. Past hour
  2. He can play on a line with Doan.
  3. Top line player with bad analytics (and really bad analytics without tage) for a 2ND line dman and a 3rd/4th line player with elite forechecking analytics. I’m the first to admit I didn’t like the trade but then I researched it and it makes sense. Scoring a ton is great unless you’re getting scored on even more when you’re on the ice Yep but that’s not needed as tage drives the play. Robertson is an elite defensive forward who also would get 100 points with tage. I give whatever is needed to get him but I highly doubt Dallas trades him
  4. It was more 50/50 to be perfectly honest. Nigh all fans liked the idea of trading a prospect for a NHLer but it was a toss up on value given versus received.
  5. Robertson isn’t that fast of a skater, just giving everyone a heads up!
  6. Care to include the names of the players that didn't play well so that your false narrative gets corrected?
  7. Like I get I am exaggerating in that plenty were questioning it, but a TON liked it and a lot of those people REALLY liked it. I hate this weird default that all the fans that are unhappy with the team are disingenuous losers who are just pretending to be mad for clout. Why would I/we praise the Savoie trade then? We weren’t hesitant to praise Adams when we THOUGHT he was doing something in the name of winning - why does the argument exist we’d be unhappy still if we actually did win? It’s nonsensical and I just proved it He and others just want to see the fans as an irrationally angry monolith that has no right to be angry cause they couldn’t do better (than professionals) anyway and they are just lying about wanting the base minimum success, and complain just to complain, who complain just because “it makes sense to assume the worst with the sabres” as I SO often see mentioned here by a lot of people no - we aren’t assuming the worst, the transactions and practices have certain patterns we pick up on
  8. Trade a top line player in return for a 3rd line defenseman and 4th line player. It is hard to find good players in any professional sport. Buffalo traded a good player.
  9. TBF, Harrington doesn't need to smoke anything in order to come off as a doofus.
  10. Idk what Harrington is smoking. Most of us liked the trade.
  11. What is in the water in Buffalo! Kids running wild down there
  12. And hopefully aged early to mid 20s due to be a RFA in next contract lol
  13. There were a ton of whispers about the dressing room having guys with bad attitudes not focused on the right things. I think Cozens and JJ were two main culprits that Lindy weeded out. Interesting to see who else moves. I think Quinn might be on the outs too.
  14. It will be a guy with the upside to do that and it will be a shoot first player 30-30 potential 25-20 current
  15. One thing I can't stand is how revisionist some media members are. “Well you hated the Savoie trade so shut up” isn’t a good argument. ^99/100 sabres fans
  16. Didn't stop everyone from spelling Reinhart like drunken sailors
  17. I look at it from the perspective that many of the players that I assumed would have been P.O'd by this trade... and want to leave this cheapskate franchise next, might actually not be as upset as I first thought.
  18. We need production. Advanced metrics don't count if a guy can't hit a wrister in an open net. I want a top 6 with a proven track record of 50-60 points with 20 or more goals in the NHL at least 2 of the last 3 seasons. Preferably at Center at least 6'2 and over 185 lbs. That or a goalie that can start 50 or more games with a GAA under 2.85 in 3 of last 4 years and at least a .918 save percentage lol Yes, I'm making up stats on the spot with no research but it's what I define as a good player.
  19. I think the players should party even harder. Games will be a breeze if your body is used to showing up for practice on 4 hours of sleep, hungover, mouth tasting like an ashtray. We called that sandbagging in my day.
  20. I saw that on Reddit. Meh. I recall similar talk about O'Reilly and Eichel (and maybe others) in connection with their departures/disaffection. If Peterka played defense worth a damn and didn't have an agent who was clamoring for his client to leave Buffalo, no one would give a hoot about his affection for late nights at local licensed establishments.
  21. There is no way they are keeping Byram and tying up ~25-27 mil on 3 blueliners.
  22. I hope Byram is dealt so I can stop reading people misspell his name constantly 😁
  23. Where are we scheduled to take the steal of the draft again? What’s our number?
  24. I hope if Kesselring becomes Power’s partner, that the coaches don’t go easy on Power improving in the D zone. He still needs to play defense and learn to take the man. He CANNOT continue to be an NHL defenseman and do nothing more than stick check in his own zone. Unacceptable for any NHL blueliner, but crazy for one making ~8.5 mil per year.
  25. Bolduc had 108 hits last year in 72 games.
