  1. Past hour
  2. Wonder how he is on faceoffs? LOL
  3. I would go with saves... Like he picked the dud... then saved it in the end... LOL... but I do get your point 🙂
  4. Realistically against Edmonton and Calgary they should go 1-1. So they did. Expectations were met. Just not in the way anyone expected.
  5. Any hope should have died the day he rationalized that it was OK to lose. That right there should have been all the indication we needed that he wasn’t an owner serious about winning.
  6. We won’t be in the mix at the deadline, so that is when he’ll be moved. I have stated many times since the tank started that a GM that waits until the deadline to move a pending UFA is being negligent with the asset as that is when the asset’s value is predominantly draft picks. I might be inclined to sway from that stance in this instance because I believe the intent was playoffs this season. Thinking on it for half a moment longer, no I am not going to sway from that stance in this instance. KAs evaluation of the teams potential, and the likelihood of signing Tuch is so far off that I am going to stick with the word negligence.
  7. X 1000%. Perfectly said. Terry is a coward, and any bit of hope died the day Kim had her stroke. So sad.
  8. The irony is that if he managed this franchise more competently and professionally, this franchise would be a moneymaker for him with the arena usually filled with a raucous full house, as it is with the Bandits. He took a stronghold hockey market that included southern Ontario, and because of his foolishness, suffocated it. The owner is a fool and his buffoon behavior is tiresome.
  9. BTW Union Pub in San Diego Pacific Beach is a Bills bar.
  10. I don’t care if the player is a forward or a defender. I just want the player to bring energy and effort each night.
  11. The highlighted is also the definition of insanity which strengthens the premise some have said that this has just become his personal write off for his other successful businesses. He obviously doesn't really care what the fans feel or think. Its ruined my Sabre fanhood for sure.
  12. Agree with this. We saw this team beat 2 excellent teams very recently. Then they come out flat against the 2nd worst team in the NHL (we are #1). To me, ability is not the problem. They can beat good teams. What lead to last night’s result is a mix of poor leadership on the team and poor coaching.
  13. Today
  14. Looking for a final head count for Sunday. I only need to know if you are planning to join us early and plan on eating. Also, I still have two tickets left. For those that purchased tickets, I’ll be sending them out by Friday. I was waiting till all were spoken for before asking seating preferences.
  15. The owner made a nostalgic coaching hire with a charade search process. The owner hired a sycophantic GM whom no other owner in the business, sober or not, would have even considered, let alone hire. When your owner is stubborn and hideously incompetent, it shouldn’t be a surprise that he presides over a shambolic franchise. What this fool owner does’t understand is that when you fail for a generation yet continue to do what you have already done, the results will always be the same. He needs to go back to school and retake the class that he failed labeled “common sense 101”.
  16. Why are you trading for defense prospects? You know how many defense prospects we have? I can't imagine a worse scenario than taking a top 6 forward and trading him for ANOTHER defense prospect. No.
  17. If you draft Verhoeff, Owen Power is immediately replaceable.
  18. I'm starting to believe that the Tuch situation will evolve into the worst case scenario.....meaning nothing happens at the deadline and he walks away for nothing in return. GMKA may not trade Tuch because he foolishly believes the team can still contend for the playoffs and will therefore hang onto to him at the deadline. Another team will sign Tuch in the off-season and we are left empty-handed. I consider this as Kevyn's parting gift before he gets lynched by the fans....that or Pegula extends or promotes him.
  19. RE: Sabres becoming a playoff team - the REAL issue isn't just the management and staff, but rather the OWNERSHIP. Until ownership changes (I don't think Pegula is capable of change), this team will never be a true cup contender. Sure, he may get lucky some year and make the playoffs, but that's about all we can hope for. Pegula is an egotistical coward, meaning he thinks he's smarter than everybody else but still hides from any accountability himself. HE is the problem.!
  20. I'm really disappointed in Ruff. I thought he'd bring more out of the players than this. If nothing else, I would have bet, he'd demand and get effort. He seems embarrassed and called out the effort tonight, but IMO, that's on him too. Maybe he just doesn't have the energy level anymore but he sounds more like Eeyore than Lindy Ruff to me.
  21. Because the Bills compensate for all the Sabres failures!
  22. Sabres played 1 period... the 2nd... of hard nose decent hockey... once 3rd Calgary goal was scored they realized they had to work harder started millennial sulking and gave up... pathetic... gotta figure a new number 1 line... TT's ego is to fragile... need a leader to grow a set.
  23. Power, Bryson as a defensive pair makes no sense. Who was the idiot that signed Bryson again?
  24. Best players on the ice last night for the Sabres with regard to expected goals for vs expected goals against: -Malenstyn -Krebs -Ă–stlund -Samuelsson -McLeod -Dahlin -Thompson All those guys were on the positive side of things (more expected goals for than against). The rest of the team was negative Who were the worst guys? -Bryam -Rosen -Greenway -Quinn -Tuch All those guys were negative, DEEP into the negative territory (below 35 when 50 is 'neutral') Quinn and Rosen also 'backed it up' by being a -2 on the night (tied for worst among forwards) and Byram was tied for the worst on the team at -3 (with his most-of-the-night partner Timmons)
  25. Last night was one of the worst games Byram played as a Sabre. After you get rid of Quinn (last night was back to a typical mistake-ridden, lazy game by him) and Greenway (he's plain and simple a below average forward in almost every way other than penalty killing), Bryam would be the next one I'd move if any other team has interest.
  26. This team can still make the playoffs. They aren't that far out of it. They are getting (hopefully) some injured players back. But I'm very close to this being the earliest in the season that I stop watching the game on a regular basis...why? They aren't likely to make the playoffs, but even if the do, it shouldn't be so hard. Its not fun watching a team trudge through the mud, shoot themselves in the foot (use whatever analogy you want) so often.
