  1. Past hour
  2. It will be incredibly depressing if the Sabres trade Peterka. Why would a team that has failed to make the playoffs for 14 years be trading a player that is considered to be the top asset (only 23 years old) available this offseason? Sabres can't continue to be the development team for quality players that will be traded for much less value to teams with quality front offices and organizations.
  3. Oh good. Terry gave his blessing..
  4. He is better than Peterka right now though as a full hockey player from end to end. Assuming they want Peterka in the trade (I think they could make a case for Byram)... You probably want tage back at center and it'd look something like: Benson - Tage - Tuch Zucker - Norris - Kyrou Kulich - Mcleod - Quinn Greenway - Krebs - Malenstyn
  5. i'll grant this: she does seem like a still waters sort of person.
  6. Mogilny was in a odd predicament if my memory serves me. Wasn’t that the year that no matter what happened in the final 10-15 games the Sabres were too far behind to catch team ahead but also far ahead of the team behind them that they couldn’t be caught? (I just checked and they were 0-7 in April, and finished 16 behind Montreal and 28 ahead of Hartford) I wondered how that affected his/their play? Like did he/they let up and if so did it adversely affect his final tally? By looking at the way they limped in to the playoffs I’d say it most certainly had a negative effect. I do recall Selanne scored on final day and that later that day Almo had to score two to tie him. It’s always bugged me that TS tied him in goals. Standing alone would’ve been even more impactful.
  7. The advisor thing is a no brainer. Of course it's remote. It's probably not even a full time role. I think the AGM is likely a bit of a rarity. Karmanos is probably not the only one, but I would be very comfortable in getting the under on 5 AGM's not living in their NHL or AHL city. That's a totally uneducated guess though But it is surprising that the most senior hockey guy on the payroll in any capacity is not coming in to be in the draft room in person.
  8. Today
  9. Apparently it can only be used as a noun.
  10. To me, Adams comments — the maybe get into it after the draft stuff — sounded like he knew a deal was coming.
  11. It'd be really fun if they still had JT Miller on the team. Add Kane to the EP-JT discourse. First liner (on this team) under team control/contract for several more years? Time to move them out. Sounds like a case of the someone doesn't want to be heres.
  12. No, am familiar with Frondell he got hurt early this season but came back and performed great and why his stock up again. Frondell has okay size but he doesn't play to it and that's what looking for in Bear.
  13. Frondell is 6'1.25" with 0 and I mean 0 transition to his game. He's a shooting center and is more of what we have in the NHL compared to Norris, Peterka, Tuch, Tage... all shooters.
  14. Anybody have the Class of '70 being the league's dumpster fires in '25 back oh say 15 years ago? Me neither. Yet, here we are.
  15. Vancouver is a dumpster fire.
  16. PLEASE let it be quiet competence.
  17. A lot of chatter that Frondell could go as early as number 2 to SJ. He is the most interesting selection of the top 10 to me. Polarizing between those that don’t think much of him and those that see him as a Barkov type. https://www.sportsnet.ca/nhl/article/sam-cosentinos-2025-nhl-mock-draft-how-will-the-first-round-unfold/ This has Frondell #2 to SJ too. Passing on Hagens at 9 to take Carbonneau is not something I would endorse.
  18. I think you might be confusing him with Eklund, his winger? Frondell is a 6’2” centre, Eklund is the small skilled guy with pace.
  19. Does he not do predominantly virtual scouting as well?
  20. Looking for soothing solutions. https://www.google.com/search?q=preparation+h+suppository&oq=preperation+H+&aqs=chrome.4.69i57j0i10i433i512l3j0i10i512l4j46i10i512i613j0i10i512.30856j0j7&sourceid=chrome&ie=UTF-8
  21. Yep especially with Quinn Hughes possibly looking to leave
  22. Actually neither. Pegula has embraced the “virtual” concept. We have a virtual AGM who lives in Pittsburgh, a virtual senior Advisor who lives in Ohio and a virtual special advisor who lives wherever (Carolina?). At this rate, Pegula going to have a virtual coaching staff, virtual players and a virtual arena.
  23. Canucks the new team to hate. Fans not happy with this move. They didn't re-sign Boeser and then they helped a rival and took on this locker room problem child after the issues they had last year. This will go badly.
  24. Yes and now he's going to ask his buddy Staal if the guy offered in a trade is any good and then he'll double check if it's okay with Jarmo (maybe). More clowns in the car.
