  1. Past hour
  2. I don't like it as a tactic, I do if it's serendipity.
  3. On Baker and Fairburn Hockey Show they mentioned the PP might be composed of the regular lines to help prevent the disruption of the game when the PP is over. Not sure I agree with that line of thinking
  4. The Sabres PP2 (PP1 tonight) is a very interesting mix to me. Power, Quinn and Kulich lining up in their best roles, I've seen each be outstanding in those spots at lower levels. Byram as the bumper is odd on the surface, but given his skillset it might be inspired. Really curious to see how he does there. And given a chance to grow, Doan could be an answer for a long-time at netfront.
  5. Yeah, he finally got to experience that playoff thing. Apparently it isn't for him.
  6. So Byram, Power, Doan, Quinn, and Kulich are playing so they can run the pp2
  7. Thanks. It's also going to be live if you have ESPN+. The home game vs PIT on 10/1 is also listed as being in ESPN+. The 10/3 game @PIT is supposed to be on NHLN. The home game against CBS and the two vs DET have no out of market TV that I can find.
  8. definitely not more enjoyable than the NFL.
  9. So Byram - Mrtka Power - Kesselring Novikov - Komarov That will be fun. Good luck cbj.
  10. I’ll be curious to see if the BJ’s play with the same physicality that their prospects showed. Is it an organizational thing? And if so, will the Sabres match?
  11. I was today years old when I learned the term “score bug”. Sounds like another term for genital lice.
  12. Liger from the future: "he wasn't"
  13. Dominik Hasek being arguably the best hockey player on the planet during that time certainly helps.
  14. Definitely more interesting players than the Sabres projected roster. Geertsen might be worth the price of admission alone.
  15. This will be my first look at Komarov and Novikov, as well as Mr. Tka (Mrtka)
  16. For out of market peeps, game will be on NHL Network at 2 am ET
  17. I doubt more than a few Blue Jackets who played last night, will be in the line-up tomight. If that.
  18. Lovely little arrogant touch at the end with the small print "you're welcome". MSG has some of the worst coverage of hockey... there's nothing "welcome" about it.
  19. And almost all kids and newbies. Just three from last year's Sabres roster, four of you count Kozak. I guess the "A" roster will play at home Tuesday.
  20. Columbus beat St. Louis 4-1 last night at home. The Blues were playing their second road game on a back to back. The Blue Jackets will end up playing three nights in a row with these next two against the Sabres.
  21. Then go find a good team to follow, unless you prefer being miserable.
  22. Today
  23. Yup. Their defense is pretty good. They went up and down the field yesterday but 5 turnovers killed them and they still almost won the game. Not going to be a walk in the park.
  24. I would add that Good teams also spend enough to max out their salary cap…..and even many bad teams as well.
  25. Kesselring says he wants to play meaner. Ok. I accept that. The Sabres are highly scoffable. Good teams would shake off a bad start and pull it together. Goods teams would find a way to stop a 13 game losing streak from happening. Good teams are not out of the race at Christmas. Good teams don't miss the playoffs for 10, 11, 12, 13, 14 years. Good teams actually improve year over year. Good teams win at home and on the road. Lots to scoff at and the fans "pay the bills". The fans here are some of the best fans the Sabres have. They can scoff with impunity in my opinion.
