  1. Past hour
  2. If the Bengals somehow win out we would likely win the division because of the 5-1 mark in the division as the tiebreaker. If they had only won even one of those nutty games without Burrow...
  3. Today
  4. It's a funny thing but there are always lots of good stats on Sabres teams but there we are, last place with the lowest win percentage in the east.
  5. I’m in NC and it was broadcast on ESPN.
  6. He’s had some bad games, but they usually coincide with bad Sabres games overall. However he was excellent against Minn and has been good the majority of games this season. If you look at his PT, Ruff seems to play him 20+ when he’s going well.
  7. Yes I would most definitely trade Byram. Didn't see anything from Kesselring that impressed me. Disappointed actually but the sample size is small. imo Timmons has dropped off substantially and currently is very very average at best.
  8. Well I'm seeing them end up as goals for the opposition.
  9. It sure looked rather one dimensional during the game. Allen to Cook for the run or pass. They need weapons for Josh but I know I'm preaching to the choir.
  10. The league looks wide open this year. Bills should have been able to capitalize on that. I still hope they find a way to but we all know how this mofo goes.
  11. I don’t know what that stuff really is. Some Chinese guy came up with numbers and computing algorithms for something-something? My best investment decisions have been in companies and businesses that I understand.
  12. Not just stop turning over the ball, but also start to get a few from our defense. We have Allen and Cook trying to do too much. Once the D got that first turnover (it sure did help that it got them 6), the weight of the world was off their shoulders and the fun began.
  13. It went to a different tiebreaker advantage. Prior to losing to Joe Rodent Home's Bungles, they had the better division record than the Stillers which was the 1st applicable tie breaker for them as they haven't played each other yet. They now are both 2-1 in division. They must have a better common opponent record than Pittsburgh, because Pittsburgh has the better conference record.
  14. Said it before the game, and do believe it was part of what got them this win. Both OTs being out rather than playing while shells of themselves forced Brady and Kromer to actually come up with a plan to neutralize the Stillers pass rush. They'd've still left the OTs on islands and run their normal pass/run mix and wouldn't have been nearly as effective as they were. The massive beasts they have on the O-line are custom built for road grading - even the backups. Once the Bills stopped turning the ball over, that game became fun. Cincy will give them a better test, but they're beatable even with Joe Rodent Home back.
  15. The Ravens own the tiebreakers over the Steelers, but fell behind the Steelers when the Ravens lost on Thanksgiving. Now that the Steelers lost too, the Ravens are back in first by virtue of their tiebreaker advantage.
  16. I don’t fully agree on the defense. With Samuelsson’s re-emergence and the addition of Timmins, I think the Sabres are one defensive D from being above average defensively. All the defensive metrics are improved this season. The goaltending remains a black hole. The Sabres save% (.887 vs .891) overall and 5 on 5 (.902 vs .913) is subpar. These numbers are pretty disappointing in light of the improved defensive metrics and the excellent PK. If we just had average goaltending we’d probably have another couple of win already (in regulation no less).
  17. Benson Tage Tuch Quinn Norris Doan Zucker McLeod Kulich Greenway Kozak Malenstyn That group has a chance to grow into a Playoff team IMO Krebs, Dunne, Danforth, Östlund, Rosen next men in.
  18. And there is a treaty with Greater Canadia that prevents it as well.
  19. The Bills just played a great 2nd half of football and executed the plan that they wanted. The defense shut down a bad offense, scored the go ahead TD, and forced 2 turnovers for TDs, plus had a big 4th down stop in the red zone. The Offense was lacking in the first half but really ran the ball down Pittsburgh throats in the 2nd half. Cook and Davis were finding big gaps to ramle through and the build had 41 minutes of possession time. The back up tackles are road grader run blockers and they did a fine job. Allen led the way as needed, once again. Special teams is still a mixed bag with a blown PAT, constant holding penalties on returns, and just average kick coverage. Go Bills!! Get healthy. Cinci at home will be a lot tougher.
  20. Nope. When the Crows won last week and the Stealers lost, they flipped spots in their division. The Crows were 2-0 in division and the Stealers were 2-1. Crows must have a better common opponent record as they're only 4-4 in conference but the Stealers are 5-3 in conference. Their 2 h-t-h games will likely be the deciding factor as they still haven't played one another yet.
  21. The top 6 veteran forwards are Tage, Tuch, and Norris. The young guys that are still proving they are top 6 are Benson, Doan, and Quinn. The next tier would be Östlund and Rosen but they still are pretty raw. Vets like Zucker and McLeod are 3rd liners on a contending Cup team and they can move up to top 6 and help out. The rest of the forwards are bottom 6 - Kozak, Greenway, Malenstyn, Krebs, Dunne, Danforth, ...
  22. This team has character led by Josh. The OL and offense were plagued with injuries. They adjusted and overcame their limitations. No excuses were offered——they just kept playing hard.
  23. Without Brown and Dawkins, WOW.
  24. I thought they were merely ‘in the hunt’ before this week’s games. Wasn’t Pittsburg leading the division? Could certainly have that all wrong.
