AND coleslaw. You missed the third cup.

Östlund. Throw a few wild punches, then go for the turtle hug and let the linemen jump in. It'll be fine.

You know it's an authentic Buffalo fish fry because just fries as a side are not enough,... fries and potato salad are also not enough... You have to have fries, potato salad, and mac salad. Gotta carb up for winter. I miss those. That looks delicious.

I hate myself for caving so quickly, but I'm reading this GDT and I'm watching the game tonight. I have NP at all with Lindy dressing a designated fighter. Of course it would be better if the team had enough guts and toughness throughout the roster to make it unnecessary, but they don't. They've been mentally broken for some time now. This is designed to address that. It may not be effective, but I have no problem with trying to address it. Who TF is Dunne? Go Sabres. Next stop, DeLuca .500.

Samuelsson’s was always a puzzling, no-upside contract. Will remain that way. Agree on Power. In fact I expect his contact to start to look really good

It’s one thing to do so while being a contender, to do so while never making the playoffs is gross malpractice to do so while averaging 78 points for 5 years is just high comedy
-
How would you handicap the chances? Is 50 50 too generous for the Sabres? Too low for the Bills?

So, we get the backup who has been doing well in the two games he played so far this year. Per ChatGPT: Jakub Dobes, the Montreal Canadiens' goaltender, has faced the Buffalo Sabres once in his NHL career. In that game on March 1, 2025, Dobes secured a 4-2 road victory at KeyBank Center. He made 23 saves on 25 shots, maintaining a strong performance throughout the game. After allowing two goals in quick succession during the second period, Dobes shut out the Sabres for the remainder of the match, contributing to Montreal's fourth consecutive win Then Geertsen either steps up or gets benched, never to wear a Sabres uniform again.

StLouis has been playing Laine on their 4th line and their 2nd pp unit. He does not look good at all. I don’t think the injury will keep him out for long, but it is possible he is a healthy scratch soon unless he improves his game. Look out for another finn instead, Oliver Kapanen, he has been great this far. And of course Ivan Demidov is absolutely amazing.

Totally agree with you about the good play of Timmons. And it should be noted that Power and Samulesson (who has played less due to injuries) have also played well. And there is no question that Dahlin is our most indispensable player on this team. With respect to Byram, I haven't formed an opinion on him just yet.

Can someone resurrect the thread about moderators being team employees? There was some serious potential there.
