Credit to the Amerks tonight. They were the grittier team the last 40 minutes and earned the tying goal with 2:55 left in the 3rd on the PP when they had to have it (Kuntar). Then after surviving a Hartford chance and a scramble in front of the net in OT, Fiddler-Schultz BURIED a 2 on 1 the other way from the scramble. No need to pass. Snipe show. Amerks down 3-1 after one and with their backup between the pipes and they grind out two points. Well done! Let’s do it again tomorrow.

The way they played early on was great. They have gotten away from that heavy physical game, At least the penalty kill is still clicking.

The most frustrating thing is everyone knows what needs to be done. Fire the front office, scouting leaders and coaching staff. Bring in a Shanahan as President. Let Jarmo be GM or Shanahan bring in his guy. Hire DeBoer. But we know the Terry way. Promote Adams. Jarmo becomes GM with everyone else sticking around. Move Lindy upstairs and make Appert HC with other coaches staying on. Terry thinks he’s addressed the problem as the team continues to spiral to the bottom.

This Kuntar is making a name for himself

I wrote this 2 months ago and nearly all of it has come to pass. The 9th item - offense regression - has sadly become the poster for this season. Kulich and Benson are out for who knows for how long. Norris didn’t even last one game. Zucker is also injured. Quinn isn’t progressing and McLeod has regressed (also as predicted, but not as bad as I feared. Only Doan has impressed. Also Tuch and Tage haven’t stepped up as leaders when necessary. The goaltending is still bad and the defense, especially now with Dahlin out indefinitely, is as bad as ever. Kesselring hasn’t been good, although Timmins has been ok. The PP still sucks. Add all this together and this team is already competing for the top overall draft pick. Terry fire Adams and start again

It was 11/11. I highly doubt Adams attending the Leafs game yesterday had anything to do with the GM meeting.

Ok, I reacted a bit to your negativity. It’s fully understandable and I do like most all of your posts. I get why you are upset with this team. I used the term outmanned and you strongly disagreed. Could be generational? Look at the Buffalo and Colorado rosters last night and it’s easy to that the Sabres are “outmanned”. I mean look how many call ups were playing. Maybe that term doesn’t resonate with you? Both teams dressed 18 skaters and 2 goalies but I think you can see the disparity in the players. Add to that how much better the Avs are coached and the refinement their players have in playing a system they understand and buy into.

I'm clearly in the minority here. I actually liked the way the team had been playing to start the year. I'm no KA defender and never will be....but to say this team has not been severely impacted by roster injuries would be horribly unfair. This roster has been gutted.

Enemy territory is pretty nice and they’re murdering the Amerks JV team.
