If not means Adams is gone (he won’t be), I’d take it in a heartbeat. -

Second round I like Vaclav Nestrasil. Could develop into a Protas type. Big boy with an edge. -
Sabres hire Brian Galivan as Strength and Conditioning coach

What's funny is that guy just scored for the Canes. -

Agreed. Someone decided a decade or two ago that a PP HAD to have 4 forwards on it, and now its just standard thinking. -

I understand your position, but if Rosen can't make Buffalo which team can he make? If you're looking to try to entice a team to give up their top 5 pick or are looking for a proven player you're not getting it anywhere close to done offering up Rosen. You might be able to get a conversation going with Utah if you started by offering up Byram but even that might not get it done. You'd likely have to give more. I don't want higher picks or any down the road stuff though. I only want deals that make the roster better now. Right away. - Yesterday

In the year 2025-26 the Sabres are going to have Regier-Ruff riding again aren’t they?😛 -

Let me throw my hat in the ring: Why do you think there is so much speculation from the fandom? You don't think that the least communicative organization in the league is a factor as to why there is so much conjecturing about this failed Pegula franchise? When is the last time that the reticent owner had someone from his PR or hockey staff put out a statement about what this organization is going to do to turn things around. I'm not criticizing the owner for not publicly speaking out because it is evident to everyone that he is not comfortable at public speaking. That's understandable and should be respected. But that doesn't mean that he doesn't have a responsibility to communicate his thoughts (in whatever form he is comfortable with) about his team's dismal performance and what he intends to do to improve the situation. The Sabres have failed throughout TP's tenure as an owner i.e. a full generation. If he wants to hide behind the veil of silence while being involved in a public venture, that is his prerogative. But expecting people not to ask questions about what is going on and also speculate about it when there are limited and non-informative responses coming from the franchise, that is in itself unreasonable to expect. -
It was always clear as day. Spend on quality vets while we take advantage of guys on ELC'S. And as the ELC'S end sub in the home grown extensions and that's when Kulich, Savoie, and even Bensonetc will come to fill the bottom of the roster. We really botched this one. There was a wide open window for the Sabres to really do this right and be a challenger and they botched it as bad as they've ever botched anything in the Pegula era. I think that's why this one hurts a lot more and I hate Adams/Pegula about as much as I've hated any rivalry in Buffalo sports history. We were right there!

Byram has packed up his house and will be moved: After the Whistle
Flashsabre replied to dudacek's topic in The Aud Club
Based on what? I’d take Braeden Schneider in a heartbeat. Schneider, Gavrikov, Kesserling, Vlasic from the Hawks. These are the type of dmen the Sabres desperately need in their lineup. -

Dullard coaches are not capable of creative thinking. The Sabres' motto is if it doesn't work, continue doing what you are doing. -
I agree with you on the Byram number but disagree with you on the Quinn number. It seems reasonable. It gives the player an opportunity to show what he is capable of without the organization being saddled with a longer termed contract. Assuming Quinn is not dealt in the offseason, next season is a "show me" year for him. This is an important offseason where he has to come into camp stronger and demonstrate a greater willingness to play a harder brand of hockey.

It’s too bad that Andrew Mangiapane never played against Seth Appert, they probably would have offered that 2nd rather then a 3rd for him. Nine Overall As others have mentioned Rosen really does not have any value around the league -

I used to think this but the last interview with Marek says otherwise. He is speaking out on some uncomfortable subjects. Most of what he said in the interview are things we have been saying here. -

Nope Im implying that there are a ton of unemployed GMs out there who meet the requirement of ‘sat in the chair’ who wont be as picky as Lou. And probably won’t be the guy to get us out of this mess either. -

It was certainly a pipe dream. The team needs a heart transplant. Tage and Rasmus just don’t have it. Not saying they aren’t great players or could be a part of a contending team. The Sabres need an infusion of intensity. One that isn’t in the org. -

Sure. Maybe, there are lots of possibilities. Are you implying that Terry is going to conduct a thorough job search for the next GM/POHO? One with clearly stated job requirements and with solid rationale for making a selection? All he has to do is really commit to winning and find that ONE guy and let him bring in the others. -
I'm good with most of those...maybe not on the Quinn and Byram numbers though.

I don't think Rosen is the same value as the 9th pick. I just named him as one of the assets I think should be used to upgrade the team before we use our top pick. I don't dislike Rosen, I just can't see him get a roster spot in Buffalo, even If he is a top player in AHL. That puts him on top of my list of players to trade. If a trade can't be done without our 9th. Then trade the pick, I'm not against improving the team, just want whoever completes next trade to try other options first. -
You gave a well thought out response. I prefer keeping Samuelsson over Byram for contract and style of play reasons. I also believe that we could get a good return, especially if packaged, for Byram. Our defense and roster need to be better shaped. Getting the right return for Byram will help on that issue. It should be noted that I do like Byram and believe that he has more upside.
