  1. Past hour
  2. Exactly how the GM should have been operating when his contract was at its most valuable. ALAS
  3. It would actually start at age 30
  4. Of course not, why would they? You shoot for the moon and when you miss you land among the stars
  5. Dabbling in hyperbole today are we? Everyone has been extolling his excellence when paired with Tage, I don't think this situation is that different beyond the fact that Tuch is a better player than MM was (which I already said). But he's also the kind of player who could either play another 10 years, or have his legs give out in 3. It's a risk. They should extend him because it's good for the team in the short term. But if they aren't sniffing the playoffs next year, they may be wise to use his good contract value and the raising cap to recover assets before it's too late.
  6. Not that anyone was worried, but the Rochester Amerks have locked themselves in for five more American Hockey League seasons at Blue Cross Arena. “Monday, the Amerks and the city are officially announcing a five-year lease agreement with a company called VenuWorks, and the 70-year-old hockey franchise will now simply be a tenant.” This is pertinent given the Pegula’s had given up their rights to run the arena and own the Knighthawks. https://www.democratandchronicle.com/story/sports/lacrosse/2025/06/23/rochester-knighthawks-looking-for-new-owners-after-pegula-divest/84319445007/
  7. This might just be the most insane thing ever uttered in the entire history of these boards. I couldn't think of any two players who could be less alike: Tuch is an excellent player, MM had a couple of good seasons being carried by John Tavares that fooled us into handing him a huge contract.
  8. Couple that with the Mickey Mouse GM.
  9. Maybe the Zegras trade puts to rest the idea that teams aren’t selling right now, but conventional reportage right now is that there’s not a lot of teams angling to be the seller in a Reinhart-type trade. Maybe there are teams looking to dump a Zegras in order to chase a Marner? I just think it’s unrealistic to see the Sabres as having the “winning bid” in 4 or 5 separate transactions. Especially if they aren’t including a Tuch or a Peterka or a Kulich in order to get it done.
  10. He’s a complete tool Blocked me for stating it outright. weird, people don’t like to be called frauds for some reason in a public forum…who knew
  11. I’ve said it a million times and they obviously agree,( in fact I’ve seen a definitive shift in how they’ve been operating in the last year or so, increasingly so, where they their thinking is starting to get well closer to mine, finally.) it’s a BPA offseason. We can, and should if possible, add everywhere the wish list says two top 6 forwards cause it should. It should read: 2 Top 6 forwards 2 bottom 6 forwards 2 top 4 D 2 goalies 2 bourbon 2 scotch 2 beer seriously tho. Ditch the guys WE don’t want to be here. The scent of desperation has never in the history of time been attractive
  12. A lot of those above names aren't all that great for me for Peterka. You don't have to trade Peterka, he's restricted. So, if you are going to trade him I am looking for 3 things with a player in return: -Makes the Sabres better right now than Peterka does (due to talent and/or fit) -Cheaper than Peterka (use the money saved in other places) -Makes the team better than Peterka in 2-3 years from now (talent and/or fit) You aren't getting all 3 of those, another team would be foolish to make that trade. But I want 2 of the 3 (pick whatever 2 you want). If you aren't getting 2 of those 3 things, they don't move him.

This coincides with the Pegula’s giving up control of the arena, so it makes sense for them. I can confirm the Pegula’s made their intentions known with the NLL a long time before today. “I can confirm there are local entities that have interest in keeping the team in Rochester,” Guelli said. “That’s the goal…The league is basically taking over those conversations, with the goal of getting someone in place before next season starts. They’re pretty bullish that they can get somebody in here and take over.” Personally, I think this franchise is cooked, unfortunately. They may play in ROC for one more year, but the love for this team left when the Hawks relocated the first time. It was never the same after that.
  14. I‘m not the board, though. we can’t trade futures to get it done? And trade the guys we need to for futures, to make room?
  15. This is how we know you are truly back.
  16. I'm sitting with Josh Byrne's sister-in-law right now. She's a little concerned about what this means for Josh's brother Taylor.
  17. I’m not surprised by decision but giving a one week notice seems like a bit of a pressure move.
  18. I expect (or at least hope) the next CBA will severely restrict NMCs, but until then, I agree with your last two sentences. However, Philly can't possibly have a great rep either. The Flyers have been scraping the barrel for coaches and haven't made the playoffs for years now. And a cushy condo downtown there costs what, 2.5x what it costs in Buffalo?
  19. https://puckgm.puckpedia.com/rosters/700891 The general crux of the idea is that Guerin wants to get younger and sees Muel as a potential fixer-upper.
  20. Today
  21. They have been trying to sell the team for awhile now; owning 2 teams in the same league is a tad odd to say the least.
  22. A city that is not on every players no-trade clause. Expect the same for any player looking to get traded. Buffalo will only be able to get free agents by overpaying by a ton. The reputation here is so beyond awful that I really think this team will never recover. Drafting is there only chance from here on out.
  23. I think he’s a wanna be insider just doing exactly as you say. Cobbling together the internet garbage rumor mill (so a lot of BS) into one happy place.
  24. Not sure either but I’ll go to my grave with dabbing is not dancing. It’s simulating weed or cannabis oil/resin ingestion and the abhorrent coughing that takes place from ingesting such a substance. I mean you are putting your face into the crook of your elbow, just like everyone does…wait for it…when they cough. Reminds me of when Dave Chapelle informed all white people what skeet was as everyone was singing the lyrics to “Low”.
  25. Thank you, because I can't log in to The A right now for some reason and wanted the substance of Fairburn's ideas.
  26. Oh, that's kind. But I've been back since winter, which ended in late May this year.
