  1. Past hour
  2. Welcome to Buffalo! Home of palm trees and taxes, pitchforks and torches. Except the palms all burned because they look like big torches.
  3. Funny - I was thinking, why the sudden change in direction with the team? Who put the bug in KA's arse to change midstream and not want to play with speed and skill? Where did this come from? I am 100 percent positive it did not come from KA. Did that person know it would take more than 2 years to flip the roster and change direction? Another few years of fans going off along with social media, with no playoffs in sight? If not, there is a bigger problem than just the GM.
  4. This is hilarious. It definitely has a local cable feel to it that I won't miss, but "too critical"? Really?
  5. It's among the worst produced sports broadcasts I have seen. Overly critical or whatever, but the actual product is really lousy.
  6. This will get the Sabres over the hump
  7. Fine for Ottawa to be roster balancing. But --- who initiates the trade. The Sabres are looking to trade Cozens. Fine. But that's not required to be at the trade deadline. They're not going anywhere; he doesn't have a NTC/NMC kick in for 2 more years. Ruff could've just moved him to 3rd line wing, but he also wasn't showcasing Cozens between Benson & Thompson for a trade. On the other hand, Ottawa wants to move Norris. They need a more physical player for the playoffs. The NEED someone who will be healthy and available going into the playoffs (Norris already has his ---oblique?--- strain). Norris is a better overall player than Cozens right now, but is he a 3-for-1 trade better than Cozens if Cozens reaches his potential, or is at least moved from center to wing? Adams wasn't operating from a place of need in that trade; Ottawa was. Why was Adams the one feeding in the 2nd?
  8. Demko just signed with Vancouver 3 years 8.5 AAV
  9. Maybe if they start winning... Sabres management seems to be more interested in things said about them than actual hockey decisions.
  10. I would agree but this year has been not the usual way that KA has done things which make me believe Lindy was telling him the type of players he wants and giving him the OK on the trades.
  11. Not sure if we do this... but I like Kevyn is acknowledging we need help in goal... I do not see a guy who averages 20 games a year that is post 30 as the guy that comes in and really moves the needle.... I do like his gaa is sub 3.00 (barely) I dont like this would be his 5th team... makes me wonder whats up... get him on a cheap contract great lets see what he does... over pay like he is your starting goalie... I think that would be a pretty big gamble and speak poorly of the prospect of Levi's progression unless it is a short term 1 year maybe 2 year deal. Either way, this to me is the type of typical signing we will see in FA... bodies that might or might not help minimally...
  12. Hopefully there’s something big coming today and this story is just out there to get buried quickly Then again, it’d be kind of fitting for this to be the biggest Sabres news to come out on a July 1
  13. I think they mean the broadcasts have been too truthful.
  14. And apparently we are getting Jake Allen, who you said isn't good enough. Okay, who then?
  15. He’s been out to lunch for the past 5 years now so it’s not surprising.
  16. I think this is it. Adding size on D is this year’s version of last year’s 4th line upgrades.
  17. Really? Who said that after the JJ trade?
  18. All the pitchforks. All the torches.
  19. lol Adams isn't even in the war room... he's over at the prospects practice.
  20. 14 years without a playoff appearance. 19 years since their last playoff series win. I can’t imagine why the fans would be unhappy. And more palm trees.
  21. Yeah, they’re on to VPN and no how to shut that down.
  22. I find the “too critical” reason hard to believe. Then again I find most everything out of the media hard to believe.
  23. More pitchforks and more torches?
  24. Possible scenario: Sabres: OK, I’m going to offer you Cozens, Gilbert and a 2nd. Ottawa: value seems fair, but we’re looking at other moves and need to save space under the 50 contract limit (or the 23-man roster, or the cap, etc.) Sabres: well we could use another D to play out the season, but it has to be an expiring contract. Ottawa: what about Docker, he’s the odd man out now with Gilbert coming in. Sabres: minimum wage guy, right? Sure, let’s do it.
