  1. Past hour
  2. Torts would match the fans’ visible anger at the team which would be satisfying on a surface level but is he really the guy to build this the thing the right way?
  3. How could you tell? Isn't that just his normal face?
  4. Would happily see Tortorella in for the rest of the year and then a review of the whole coaching side in the offseason.
  5. My hot take is Ruff and Kekäläinen are on the same page. Lindy will ride on the season before moving on.
  6. Today
  7. I don’t think Torts is the greatest coach in the world, but I think he brings what this team has desperately needed since Ron Rolston left. Young teams need guidance on how to compete in the NHL. That’s what you’ll get with Torts. And in three years when the team needs something else, he’ll be out the door like usual.
  8. My team was injured all year... i gave up
  9. Interesting. i wonder about Ruff’s acumen for strength and conditioning staff for those on the roster that are made of fine crystal, as well as his vision for key training personnel for power play improvements. Inquiring minds want to know.
  10. Someone just text me; Lindy Ruff POHO John Tortorella - Head Coach Don’t know that I believe it but they’ve been right before and Torts was Jarmo’s head coach.
  11. nah - just scowled.
  12. Finnish media are, of course, excited about Kekäläinen being back as a NHL GM, however there are also some worries. They stated that Kekäläinen has the same blind spot as the Sabres, none of them seem to get the right coaches. On the other hand, if there are problems with the culture in the organisation, he was considered the right guy to fix that.
  13. To quote Mary Wilson during her first conversation with Marv Levy, “just talk to him.” A skilled executive makes his boss think every decision was ultimately “the boss’ decision.
  14. Forgot about Power and Byram actually. They could also be up for trade if JK wants to make a big splash.
  15. I think the first thing is to strenghten the D, there has been some rumors that Power isn't happy with his situation, and I believe he will try to move him to create cap space, and replace him with a cheaper defensive option. Another player I think he will try to move is Norris. He is a good player when healthy, but he doesn't play enough games to be worth the money he gets. If he succeeds with one of the moves above, I think we can expect us a Tuch extension. The goalie situation is a hot topic but my guesses there are that it will be solved during offseason.
  16. I think this is the most realistic take. TBH I wouldn’t be surprised if JK retools the top six except TT and Doan. He has Norris, Tuch, Quinn, Kulich, Benson, maybe some picks as trade pieces. Maybe he can get a 2C and two established top six wingers with that currency. Rosen/Östlund round it out. Maybe other teams can afford to wait for Benson to learn how to finish or absorb Norris’ injuries.
  17. Nope, we’ve changed that now to Pegulatory. Please make a note of it.
  18. I think - Ellis will be waived. Tuch will get traded. Östlund will come up or the rest of the season. Ruff will likely get the rest of the season and then the entire coaching staff will get canned/no new deal.
