You are preaching to the choir. I love every guy you mentioned. Just not Marchand. He’s a Bruin (spare me who he’s gallivanting around with now). I will hate that dude, Lucic and Chara for the rest of my life.

No way this dude lasts until 9

Static-X, Dope and Gwar tomorrow evening. Early dinner at home, cocktails at Ballyhoo, and then a few hours of metal to round out the day. I don’t think I am setting the alarm for Monday morning.

Are there major changes coming this summer and who will make them?
JohnC replied to dudacek's topic in The Aud Club
I understand your position. However, when you go to the card table and the dealer asks you if want another card, you have to make a decision before knowing the outcome. I'm simply playing the odds as to what I think is likely to happen. My leaning toward KA taking some actions this offseason is that there is a lot of pressure on him to do so. When you are being squeezed you usually have to react. That's how I see it. -
Sabres announce Jarmo Kekalainen Hired as Senior Advisor

Maybe he can bring Olivier with him. If we ain't gonna win, at least bring some entertainment -
Wasn't necessarily advocating for it. I'm just unsure the cost.

But it’s just the Buffalo hamster wheel all over again. Add another 18 year old to a lineup that’s not good enough to compete. We’ve seen this movie for 14 years and we know how it ends.

As do all the Tkachuks, Bennett, Perry, Kane, Nurse and a host of others. But oh look, they're playing in the finals. I mean look at these playoff stats. https://www.statmuse.com/nhl/ask/brad-marchand-career-postseason-stats that's hall of fame stuff.

Idk. The last trade like that was... 2008 I think. No idea the values involved. I can say the rumor mill says we could see a trade amongst the top 3. Islanders want Hagens, Sharks want Schaefer, and Hawks want Misa. Misa is probably NHL ready. If that's who you get.
-
When are we ever going to get serious about winning? Can’t trade established players for draft picks anymore. Need to be bringing in legit NHL contributors.

Currently at Modern English, Softcell and Simple Minds. Modern English just finished up.

Sure but he deserves to get his nut stack raked over hot coals

Do you think Byram and #9 is enough to move to #3 with a Chicago trade? Would you? Do you think Peterka and #9 is enough to move to #2 with SJ? Would you? IMO, Misa would be my target with these trades.

Buffalo is always the most active in the off season, since their off season starts earlier than any other teams. -

There's no way that they won't be active. The pressure has built to the point that even if the GM was reluctant to make moves, he will take action because he knows that not doing so puts him in jeopardy. There is no way that this is going to be a status quo offseason. There has been a lot of rumblings about the Sabres having dialogues with a lot of teams. That shouldn't be a surprise because this is the period of time where are all organizations are checking each other out. I have said it before, but I strongly believe that a priority has to be the goalie position, and another will be reworking the blue line. Will there be deals involving some of our young wingers? I believe so. If I had to guess I would put my money on JJP being moved. I'm glad Keka has been added to the staff to provide KA a sounding board during this critical period. We shall see. -

Highly unlikely (he's there at 9) at this stage. I question his overall skill set but a 25g, 25a guy who hits everything isn't bad at all. Or he's gonna continue to improve his skills and he's actually a 35g, 45a wrecking ball. Or... he ends up a 3rd/4th line roll player with heavy hits.

"Every meeting is usually the same, they ask the exact same questions.". Carter Bear. How dare KA and Pegula talk about Penn State and not just keep it like Bear's experience. Scumbags. Am I doing this right?

I see no way Martin is there at 9
