The Sabres need to win this. The goalie they are facing isn't good, the team played last night and practiced this morning, the blues aren't a good team. Which means we'll start slow, give to a couple quick goals, end to doing into the 3rd down 3-2, claw back for a 4-4 tie and lose in OT.

Last year the Sabres had only 6 teams below them in the standings, the worst of the worst. Against those 6 teams, they were 8-7. Vs the rest of the league they were 28-39. So yeah, they did lost 7 games to the bottom 6 teams in league on one hand, but they still were much better vs the bottom of the league than the teams above them.

So, I was simply observing something that seemed out of place to me. It felt to me like he was being unfairly singled out. I lay my honor at your most royal feet and beg forgiveness for not being more clear that my comment was about what I perceived as an odd slight towards one player, not the innocent mistake of a typo. (I actually missed it until I reread my post before submitting, something I do to try to avoid saying things that unintentionally rile people up) In all honesty, I was curious why you had called out just Quinn when others were also repeat offenders. I do appreciate the added context you gave as it it did add quite a bit to the original message. You seem to be an intelligent poster - and so I would assume an intelligent person - so hiding behind pretending not to "get" what the word "funny" means in that context is not exactly raising any conversational bars either. "Isn't it funny how ..." is a pretty common expression. sheesh.

Yeah it would be nice if Kevyn could find a top 9 forward like a Tkachuk or Tom Wilson that could play top 6 minutes and be a dominating, intimidating force. Those guys don’t grow on trees. Don’t get me wrong, Adams has avoided the forest (with some minor improvements in drafting recently) and the Peterka trade. Maybe Doan is that guy. Could use another 3-4 of him on the team. Tuch could be that guy but doesn’t get dirty enough for a man his size.
