Stads Posted 5 hours ago Report Posted 5 hours ago 9 seconds left in the period and Power tips the puck into the corner with no one on the forecheck. Nitpicking for sure, but I'm annoyed so back off 1 1 Quote
mjd1001 Posted 5 hours ago Report Posted 5 hours ago (edited) Greenway-Quinn-Kozak....do they even have a shot on net? Its not a 4th line, so they need to have SOME presense in the offensive zone, they have had zero. $7.5m dollars for those 2 wingers and they are pretty awful most nights. Krebs-Malenstyne-Dunn might be the best line of the night, even in the offensive zone. They just have no finish. As mentioned above, Tage looks lost with those 2 young guys. I'm not saying those young guys might not deserve ice time or eventually will be good, but you need goals. Don't mess around with Tage, play him with guys he has played with before. Agree. They are not helping him at all. 1 Quote

If you got the puck coming to you at the end of the period, you need to want to make something happen. 1 1 Quote

HumanSlinky39 Posted 5 hours ago Report Posted 5 hours ago This is the kind of game you HAVE to win if you want any hope of making the playoffs. All those loser points mean ***** when you can't beat a loser team...after they just played last night...on your ice. This kind of effort should get players benched and coaches fired. 2 3 1 Quote
Slack_in_MA Posted 5 hours ago Report Posted 5 hours ago Bunch of JAGs in blue and gold tonight. Holy F. Other than the early fight, just nothing. No battles in front of the net. No big hits. Crap goaltending. No speed. Ugh, ugh, and f'ing ugh. Quote
DarthEbriate Posted 5 hours ago Report Posted 5 hours ago Montgomery had a team get killed last night (they're on the second night of a back-to-back). He benched his highest-paid forward. The kid who drew back into the lineup has a SHG. The goalies who couldn't stop everything have a shutout and beautiful timely saves. And all he had to really do was say, "you beat the Sabres by outworking them. That's all." If the Blues had come in trying to run and gun or outscore them, nope. Just win puck battles and it's over. 1 1 Quote

Not that I would ever be foolish enough to let myself have hope that we could make a decent run this year, especially not this early, this was the game. I was looking to see if it would happen to confirm that the same issues and mentality that has held Adams’ teams back were still ready to pop right back up Confirmation received 1 Quote
