If so, Lindy showing some trust in him I try not to say negative things after a win but Quinn did not have a very good game. In the second he had a shift where he made 3 mistakes that could have let the Panthers tie it up. The last shift I think he stayed on the ice too long. It wasn't all bad but his play away from the puck is sketchy. 2 Quote

Making plays all over the ice to help the team and elite playmaking skill. He’s going to be a special player. Plays one game out of four and is team leading scorer. The kid is good! 2 Quote
JohnC Posted 22 hours ago Report Posted 22 hours ago Quick thoughts for this game: Lyons gets my first star? Doan gets another. Both Power and Samuelsson played well. The team defense was excellent. They didn’t give the Panthers much room when they had the puck in our zone. I thought the Sabres were superb in getting out of their zone. The PK was superb and our PP scored twice. Doan is an excellent addition. When Benson isn’t playing this is a different team. When this team plays with a competitive team they have a chance to win. When this team is flat it loses and is a bore to watch. 3 1 Quote
ExWNYer Posted 22 hours ago Report Posted 22 hours ago 'The Aud Club' reports of the Sabres not registering a win by the end of October were greatly exaggerated... Quote

I thought he was the only positive in the opener. If he’s finally arrived and stays mostly in one piece, that’s HUGE. Not counting on it at all but… 1 Quote
Doohickie Posted 22 hours ago Report Posted 22 hours ago Anyone else notice that when the Sabres were in puck battles along the boards, other Sabres jumped into the fray to back them up instead of waiting around for something to happen? 2 Quote
DarthEbriate Posted 22 hours ago Report Posted 22 hours ago Power (23:44), Timmins (24:30), and Byram (24:17) all had more ice time than Dahlin (22:36). Easygoing. Casual-like. 1 Quote

rickshaw Posted 22 hours ago Report Posted 22 hours ago Have to take this effort and bottle it. Have to realize that if they play like this, they will have a chance. 60’ efforts are rare but today was certainly one. Quote

rickshaw Posted 22 hours ago Report Posted 22 hours ago And I have to ask. How is Marchand not given another 2’ unsportsmanlike when he told Dahlin’s talent and tore it apart? Or a 10’? This is where NHL refs come j to question and people start up the Panthers getting preferential treatment. Such an automatic extra penalty. Quote
Mr Peabody Posted 22 hours ago Report Posted 22 hours ago Benson, Doan, Krebs, Kodak across the lines are shifting our culture. No longer waiting around for Tage to score, but creating opportunities. Entire D was engaged and physical. Granddaughter’s middle school chorus singing the anthem at the Crunch game tonight and I’m looking forward to watching Amerks D men. 2 Quote
mjd1001 Posted 22 hours ago Report Posted 22 hours ago I haven't watched either of the last 2 games live. (saw most of last game on replay, haven't seen any of today's game yet) But I'm looking for opinions here. Since Benson has been back, does anyone have a preference for who has been better....Benson or Doan? When reading comments, I seem to read a lot of similar positives for both. Despite the stats, who appears to be better on the ice? Quote
