Rosen made one terrific goalmouth play that should have been buried but just didn’t have the puck much, or much impact on the game.

Helenius was better, and more involved, but again not much in the way of playmaking.

Östlund frequently has the puck, or is always around it. He was the team’s best two-way forward.

Wahlberg was a bit in and out, but there were some puck protections, takeaways and board work that looked very good.

Wasn't paying close attention but Östlund had a couple of great scoring chances that he was unable to bury.

Novikov looked solid, Komarov was very much in command, although he was the weak link on the PP.

Very impressed with Mrtka: assertive at both ends.

Sabres got gassed by a delayed penalty, 2-1 C-bus.

Helenius has been much more noticable today.  Hasn't scored yet but has been aronund the puck and getting good chances; and just got a coincidental minor for dancing with a BJ.

And Östlund with a beauty.  Top shelf on the 4v4.

Anybody know if Melvin is any relation to Jiri Novotny?  Had to do a double take the 2nd time Dunleavy mentioned that name.

I remember wondering the same thing the second he was drafted. He’s a Swede, which is probably not a good thing for any potential bloodline.

It seems the person that normally is in charge of the shot clock in the MMArena is in charge of the scoreboard tonight.  Since the game became 3-3, the score has been rolling from 3-3 to 5-3 back to 3-3 back to 5-3 with an occassional 0-3 on the way back to 3-3.

So, at least THAT aspect of the team is back to regular season form.  😉 

And now the scoreboard won't roll from 3-3 to 5-3 anymore as the BJs just went up to 4.

Scoreboard operator KNEW the score would become 5-3; he/she just had the wrong team getting to 5 1st.

BJ's with a full hand's worth of goals.  3-5.

And the BJs don't choke after giving up the shortie.  Regain the 2 goal lead on the same PP.
