LabattBlue
Name the last Canadian team to win the Cup and the year they did it? No cheating! PS No offense to our neighbors to the North, but I can never cheer for a Canadian franchise to win the Cup. All their visits to WNY for Sabres games and WJC has left me jaded with their “we are gods gift to hockey” attitude.

We hate Toronto out here on the West Coast just as much as you do and NS can tell you they feel the same way on his coast. Plus, the Habs goalie was none other than the legendary Patrick Roy. A few months later, the TBJs became the last Canadian team to win the World Series thanks to that monster WOHR from Joe Carter. PerreaultForever
Ya it was the Canadiens and then the Rangers won, I think in 94 which was supposed to be the end of a 50 year curse that would then go back on the Habs for the next 50 years or something like that. Toronto has the longest running cupless streak for an original 6 team. Hope it stays that way.

Hawerchuk
Yep, Montreal beat the LA Kings that year, 1993. Rangers beat Vancouver the next year '94.

Thorny
That guy with the curly haired mullet that I THINK Chris Farley parodied on SNL. The Carter HR is one of my oldest sports memories Edit: NM, he parodied John Kruk. Edited August 17, 2020 by Thorny
