bob_sauve28
Right now the Sabres are: 25th in the league in scoring 11th in goals against 2nd on the power play!! 27th in penalty kill 28th in league standings I want to say I hope that that awesome goal but O'Reilly last night is the turning point of the season and things will get better quick. But if not it was still a cool goal. The team is a lot more fun to watch regardless and they are young. The stats above show some real potential
dudacek
The PP is where the upgrade in personnel has had the most effect, but let's not forget Dave Barr, who had some nice numbers with mediocre talent in Jersey. The PK would be better with better goaltending. Not blaming the goalies, but we haven't really had the big save factor. Don't overlook the fact we've taken the second-fewest number of penalty minutes in the league. This is a well-coached, disciplined team. Kind of surprising how bad the pk is when our overall goals against is really good. Who would want to face the Sabres in the first round of the playoffs with our power play and stingy defense. Just saying.

PASabreFan
Breaking down the 10-game segments, Sabres have now gone 6 points-12 points-9 points. The failure to build on that second 10 games is really disappointing. They're going to have to average about 13 points every 10 games from here on out. bob_sauve28
Right now the Sabres are: 24th in the league in scoring 10th in goals against 5th on the power play 27th in penalty kill 25th in league standings Improvement in several areas. Starting this ten game segment with 2 points. 18 more to go!

LGR4GM
I think we will see game to game fluctuations for a bit longer until teams start to solidify themselves.

You'd think those two stats would be similar.

DFL in PIMs per game, per NHL.com. Probably accounts for the variance.

They've also (from the eyeball test, haven't looked up the stats to confirm it) been much better on the pk in the last month or so than they were in October.
