Goodfella25 Posted March 9, 2006 Report Share Posted March 9, 2006 Holy crap the trade winds are starting to intensify now.....I'll weigh in on the first few just for argument's sake Richardson to Leafs: Wow, the Leafs just got worse by adding a player. Richardson is old and immobile. That's two characteristics the Leafs dont need on their roster, but I am happy they made this awful move. Edge CMB, Richardson is old and slow Niemenen to San Jose: A 3rd round pick for this guy??? I liked him when he was on the Flames in 03-04 when they made that cup run, but in no way, IMO, is he worth a 3rd rounder. He gets under the opposition's skin, but he is a 3rd liner at best. Edge NYR Roloson to Edmonton: As I already mentioned, I think a first rounder is way too much to give up for a 36-year-old goaltender....and Minnesota gets a 3rd rounder if he re-signs with Edmonton...wow I like the move by Minnesota, since they are out of contention for the playoffs anyway. Edge MIN, unless Rolo somehow propels the Oilers to the cup Parrish and Sopel to Los Angeles: I think this is a great trade for LA. It provides more scoring punch and I have always liked Sopel, I wish the Sabres would have gotten him last offseason. All LA gives up are 2 prospects and a crap pick. Edge LA Theodore to COL, Aebischer to MTL: I am really surprised at this one. It was rumored for weeks but I never thought it would actually happen. Theodore really needed a fresh start, but I am not sure he will ever return to Vezina form. Aebischer had a terrible start to the season, but has rebounded in recent weeks.
