  1. :(
  2. This would be a fairly big trade if it goes down. I vote yes for excitement. We can't get too hung up on McEichel. I don't think we're bad enough to finish dead last and our chances of winning the lottery are 20% or less. I want a McEichel but we don't NEED a McEichel. We need talent; if it's generational, thats just a bonus.
  3. Problem solved.
  4. SWEET! This will give him an opportunity to develop some chemistry with future Sabres draft pick, Dylan Strome. . . .
  5. The last thing we need is for ISIS to take an interest in the NHL draft.
  6. They can't lose Glen and Maggie, or really all of "Team GREATM" for that matter, soon enough. I think Beth is actually interesting so hopefully they don't decide to kill her off next week. I like Talking Dead. Chris Hardwick is a good host. He's funny and his enthusiasm for the show comes off as genuine (compare that to Jimmy Fallon's fake wildly-over-the-top "Oh-my-God-so-incredible" enthusiasm for whatever his latest Tonight Show guest is talking about). Also, yes, the ending was very predictable and Sasha basically became the dumbest character on the show because the writers needed it to happen. We knew things weren't going to go perfectly with the mid-season finale next week but they still could have surprised us with something we didn't see coming.
  7. She was always hot but it got ridiculous when she got dolled up for TD tonight.
  8. "Was." So what about right now? It was a stupid trade at the time and now it has become so stupid that Whaley has to go.
  9. If they were constructing an offer for Myers, Horvat could be the centerpiece for me.
  10. It's the second one. We're not the worst team in the NHL this year.
  11. Would I trade Myers for a *second* Ennis? No, but only because I don't think you'd want more than 1 of that type of player in your Top 6. I'm good with having just 1 Ennis for now. Is Ennis better than Myers? At this point, I'd say yes. I'd trade Myers for a clone of Girgensons, Ristolainen, or Zadorov. I'd also trade him for Moulson if they were the same age. Shinkaruk has a lot of upside but it looks like he's off to a slow-ish start in the AHL. I loved everything I knew about Virtanen from last year's draft but I think he's been hurt.
  12. Also proved we need to just F'ing fire everyone and start over too. Nice trade, Doug. Is there any part of this organization that doesn't suck?
  13. Good episode tonight but the real story here is the actress who plays Rosita on Talking Dead. Because... DAAAAAAAAAAMN!
  14. Which makes what Proust did even more egregious. Lucic didn't want to fight and he was in the middle of eating his dinner! That punch didn't even hurt though; Lucic just slipped on the stick that was at his feet. And he did that on purpose to show kids in Boston how important it is to be careful when playing hockey. I can't believe anyone thinks he "lost" that "fight." Lucic never has and never will lose a fight. #BostonStrong /Boston Fans
  15. A "top line centre" for Perron? I can't imagine even the most biased Oilers fans thinking that was plausible.
  16. Dylan Strome update: Friday night: 1 goal, 3 assists Saturday night: 2 goals McDavid went down on November 11th. Since then: 5 games, 6 goals, 4 assists. Very impressive. Marner and Strome have been great this month and are making me less terrified with potentially landing in the dreaded no.4/5 spot this year. Of course, then there's that 6th overall pick in my signature... All that said, let's go ahead and get back to tanking now, OK?
  17. Let's hope.
  18. Last year all the veterans spent most of the year waiting to be traded. This year they're all here for the long haul except maybe Stafford and Stewart. I think this year's team is actually going to try.
  19. He should retire right now. These are literally brain injuries and they're piling up.
  20. It does. It means we suck. But we also have good, often great, goaltending. That alone should be enough to keep us out of the very bottom.
  21. The Sabres aren't the worst team in hockey. We aren't finishing last. We can give up on being assured of getting Eichel at least.
  22. Soooooo.... We're all just as excited about the idea of Mitch Marner, right guys? #UnTank
  23. Best part for me was seeing a comment under the Yahoo article last night from a Bruins fan claiming Lucic didn't get knocked out, he just slipped on the stick that was at his feet. Never underestimate Boston fans' ability to bend reality in favor of their heroes.
  24. He's 27 now and signed over power of attorney to his mother in 2011 -- when he would have been 24. Who signs over their power of attorney to anyone at that age? He's an idiot, but it's not his fault. His parents are complete scum. It's borderline child-abuse to raise a kid so wildly unprepared for life as an adult. Your main job as a parent is to make sure your child is developing into someone who can survive and succeed in the world on their own. It's like they just wanted to breed a hockey player to make some cash in the long run. And then they blatantly stole from him and abused that relationship. The worst part about the article is that Johnson has a 16 year old brother still living with his lunatic parents.
