PLF said Nolan is interim and new GM will decide on the coach. Was he lying? You don't bring in a popular coach like Nolan and not expect trouble. If this is true LaFontaine handled this poorly.

Figured that. LaFontaine said at press conference Nolan was interim and Murray does not have to keep him. Murray needs to be able to pick his own coach

That's what I think. If Murray wanted Nolan a new contract would be done by now...LaFontaine made a mistake bringing in a new coach before a new GM.

I'm not big on retired numbers but why LaFontaine and not Miller? Miller has done a lot more than LaFontaine for this franchise.

Just because they may want to re-sign him doesn't mean he will. Whether he is traded or not, I doubt Miller is a Sabre next year.
