Muddy Waters.

So I went up to Buffalo this past weekend to visit my mom. I got a good old fashioned Buffalo fish fry at Jades Restaurant, an old school tavern, on Broadway in Depew. Man it was delicious. I'm the guy a little closer to the camera on the left and then there's my mom, 89, and her partner, 94 (and still drives very well).

Staph infections can be nasty. Jay McKee wanted to play in the finals vs. Carolina but if they hadn't gotten treatment for the infection he had, they told him he could have lost his leg.

Me? I'll be in the air returning to Fort Worth after spending the weekend with my mom in West Seneca. I haven't seen any regular season games yet but apparently that's a mercy.

School/bank holiday (Colmbus/Indigenous People's Day) so they're trying to get the kids out. They do this every season.

Well I won't be posting goal memes for the first three games as I will actually be in Buffalo (West Seneca) visiting my mom. I won't be able to take in a game in person since I arrive Thursday evening and leave Monday morning.

I'm not really doing goal memes yet but I like this one so....

Prison tats. You didn't hear what he did this summer? PIttsburgh feed is awful. It's their radio feed I believe and not fit for TV broadcast.

Not sure if it will be blacked out in Buffalo, but the game will be on NHL Network.

That's not Rams or Goats or anything like that; it's actually Goat Heads. If you live in the south/southwest, you know what goatheads are. They are basically seeds from some kind of ubiquitous wild plant that are great at sticking to you, giving your bike flat tires, and poking you whenever you touch them or try to pull them off. The logo script very much suggests the spines on goathead seeds.

Apparently hockeyviz.com thinks someone will save us. If you're trying to see this on a cell phone, Buffalo is the third red-ish band from the right, indicating third in the Atlantic, with a predicted 91 points.

When I think of the Bills, I think of a very well-coached team with great fundamentals. When I think of the Dolphins, I think of a very dynamic, high risk/high reward offense, but the fundamentals are lacking. When I think of the Lions, I think at least offensively they blend the best of those: Good coaching and fundamentals, but not risk averse. Campbell likes to roll the dice. They would certainly be a challenge for the Bills but I still would like to see a Bills-Lions Super Bowl.

I'd like to see what the Bills can do to the Lions in February.
