  1. That's not Rams or Goats or anything like that; it's actually Goat Heads. If you live in the south/southwest, you know what goatheads are. They are basically seeds from some kind of ubiquitous wild plant that are great at sticking to you, giving your bike flat tires, and poking you whenever you touch them or try to pull them off. The logo script very much suggests the spines on goathead seeds.
  2. We'll start saying "The Jacob Bryson of..."
  3. My first "social media" exposure was detroit.freenet.org in the mid 1990s. Because it was still a local forum, we had meet ups once in a while.
  4. Eh. Getting intercepted deep on third down is kind of like a punt.
  5. Yeah, I know. Maybe they know something we don't.
  6. Apparently hockeyviz.com thinks someone will save us. If you're trying to see this on a cell phone, Buffalo is the third red-ish band from the right, indicating third in the Atlantic, with a predicted 91 points.
  7. What else do we have?
  8. Kick the crisis can down the road.
  9. You'll never get a front row seat in the parade with that attitude. 😉
  10. When I think of the Bills, I think of a very well-coached team with great fundamentals. When I think of the Dolphins, I think of a very dynamic, high risk/high reward offense, but the fundamentals are lacking. When I think of the Lions, I think at least offensively they blend the best of those: Good coaching and fundamentals, but not risk averse. Campbell likes to roll the dice. They would certainly be a challenge for the Bills but I still would like to see a Bills-Lions Super Bowl.
  11. I'd like to see what the Bills can do to the Lions in February.
  12. l can't blame you. Buffalo sports fandom is like being in an abusive marriage: "Honest honey, I'll be different from now on!" I'm a little more optimistic in my outlook, but I see where you're coming from. We've heard that story before though, innit?
  13. It seems like there's been a concerted effort in recent veteran acquisitions to dispel the team's softness. If Helenius claws his way onto the team by scoring and playing with grit, it could set a new tone for the whole team.
  14. Not necessarily. If he gives us two dominating lines instead of just one, plus some sandpaper, it could be just the tonic the team needs.
  15. Hot take: He'll be a permanent Sabre by Christmas.
  16. Other: Helenius.
  17. From what little I've seen I thought, wow, it's so great to have a huge physical forward and then I looked... he's 5-11, 190? Either he's grown a lot or he plays way bigger than his size.
  18. Yep, I just found that out. Watching the last five minutes.
  19. For out of market peeps, game will be on NHL Network at 2 am ET
  20. I kind of got the feeling the Bills played down to their opponent tonight. And they still scored 31 points. Woof, what an offense.
