I respectfully disagree. I've been to LA, Anaheim, Philly, Minnesota, and Florida. FLA and ANA are way worse and it's not even close. LA isn't far behind those two, even when winning (although a lot of this is a stadium architecture issue). The crowd noise should be compared not to the top teams that are winning, but teams that have sucked as hard as we have. Think early 90s Red Wings and Senators and Bill Wirtz Blackhawks. We've got much better attendance and fan involvement than teams on that scale. Besides, you know FNC will rock in perpetuity as soon as we win our first post-tank playoff series and all ails will be cured.

I've stayed at the California (Fremont St), Rio (off the strip), and South Point (way south on LVB). All were fine for what I wanted them to be, in order: a cheapish place near Freemont that was walkable and easy to get super up with friends; a nice place with suites that I could stay for a week separated from -but easy taxi access to- the Strip (being on the west side was handy for what I was doing); the cheapest thing I could find for a quick overnight with easy driving access. Would probably recommend Rio, but you may want to be better located.

The population of /r/hockey (reddit) has launched John Scott into a captaincy position in All Star voting (top vote-getter of a division [Pacific]). He's currently #2 overall. PuckDaddy has backed this campaign and details that in a "weak" Pacific division (with no Kanes, Crosbys, etc), he could feasibly win. Keep in mind, Puck Daddy also backed DJ Kool, for which many of us would be thankful. Consider backing Big John. Sup. Could put sensors and transmitters on players (like a small unit in the helmet) to measure location, velocity, acceleration, etc. Pucks too. Eventually, even small go-pro-like cameras could be mounted in the foreheads of helmets for real time 1st person angles. They'd likely need approval from the NHLPA, but they seem generally on board with technology as long as safety or comfort aren't sacrificed.

Only saw the last goal highlight so far. Enzo effectively beats four opponents.

Oh snap, I just realized I'm in the Lightning TV market... because, umm, rockets. I might be able to catch this one on TV. Also considering making the two hour drive (each way) to the game on Tuesday... if I'm on the road by 5pm, I can make it for the 7:30 game...
