He's 6'5" and pitched a 0.929SV%, 2.10GAA 25 game season.

Dreger thinks it's more likely that ROR moves in a draft day trade than before the deadline, despite qualifying that thought with "anything's possible."

Tampa signed Allen York to a two-way deal, announced yesterday. HF indicates that Vasilevsky has more upside than Subban, but at a greater risk. Taken 19th overall in 2012. 6'3", 203lbs, V is under contract for two more years. He put up 2.46GAA and 0.912 in 10 games with TBL this year.

Unfunny.

A jersey autograph is a legally-binding, CBA-allowed, professional contract, no? -

I'm holding out for the playoffs, so I don't make painful side-by-side comparisons. Also, this just in: The Buffalo Sabres have asked Evander Kane to help Zadorov with his punctuality. -

Nolan was trying to keep last game's pairing together... maybe put Zad on the wing for the first period, just for fun. -
Says you. Our loyalty to our team is what holds this franchise together, defines us as fans, and is a major part of the character of our city. Same with the Bills. Say what you want about being happy, sad, or angry while the team loses (intentionally), but don't dare claim we should have been less loyal. Especially not now, as we sit here typing this crap into a mechanical box during the franchise-worst season. Wavering loyalty is for Canes fans.
-
Hmm. I know sports management guys like to keep proprietary secrets, but it really seems as if he believes that if he shares, he loses.
-
So, with nothing better to do, of course the NBCSN bloggers pick this up. "Sabres angry that Zadorov keeps showing up late for stuff"

Interesting player. 32 year old Czech defenseman. UFA, made $4M this year. Played the hardest minutes in the desert. Spent 81.8% of his 5-on-5 ice time with OEL. Could be a good defensive depth-bolstering addition to a playoff team, or a weak team trying to sign his rights (cough, Edmonton). Not sure we would go after him, but on Arizona's part, it's a good asset management move to ship the UFA and a good tank move to ship OEL's defense partner.
-
That's about where I was too. It's hard for me to see Mitchell drawing that much attention, but that's probably because of the tank. Plus guys like Goose and McCormick got moved at the deadline. Although, I feel like the broadcast last night was pumping the tires on Mess pretty hard. They built him up, but I only saw the usual shitfest back there. I don't think he's one of those two mystery men either.

It would be as if Rob Ford adopted the love child of Evander Kane and Phil Kessel.

GMTM this morning on the top five (20:48):

Let's pour some fuel on this tire fire. Tim Murray (on GR this morning: 17:02-18:38 ) said "I suspect that I'll get a call from six teams on a certain player and then another three or four teams on another player. I believe that's going to happen, but I don't know that for sure." Who's getting attention and from whom?
-
You should adopt the Nikita. You know, so he becomes the perfect human being.
-
For the record, he expressed remorse and apologized to the team.
-
Neat. We haven't yet had a compilation of where each team sits.

Well, there's been the trend of releasing limited information (upper body/lower body injuries) over the past few years. I think that initially got started with teams wanting to ###### with competitors about game night lineups and matchup scenarios, especially during playoffs, but now it seems like that language has been become standardized. Why you would use the language with an injury that's been declared season-ending? Cue the theories. Tanks' first theory is probably right: GMTM may be letting guys he doesn't plan on trading get repaired so that they're definitely healthy for next season. Bonus for helping the tank in the short term. Double bonus for not making players play injured.
-
And as UFA's, they cost us no assets but cap hit, and then even only for a year. Bonus: if they attracted attention, they could be flipped at the deadline for MOAR PICKS.

But then an internet forum full of neckbeards and neckbeardesses also gets to troll you as being a lazy, enigmatic Russian with discipline issues while simultaneously deriding your boss for ###### up your professional development. Re-read this thread as if you're the subject. It's ###### up for only showing up to work late. Then again, you get paid the big bucks and the media and fan scrutiny comes with the job.

Great article on analytics on NHL.com today. Maybe the the best summation of the utility and intentions of the emergent field that I've seen. It doesn't go into any math, but rather a solid explanation of why hockey has headed this way. http://www.nhl.com/ice/news.htm?id=754099&navid=nhl:topheads It's worth the full read, but here are selected quotes for the lazy.

I still can't fathom why Washington pissed him away.
