  1. The stick breakage rates between wood and composite have been reported to be substantially similar, but composite sticks shatter/break catastrophically, whereas the wood ones often degenerated slowly and noticeably, so that they could be changed out without affecting on-ice play. And of course for us hockey-playing plebians, that's a lot more money spent on twigs.
  2. Also: not even factually correct.

  6. Columbus is now 9-0-1 in their last ten. This could be a sorely-needed ass whoopin'. And then we can gloriously and sincerely cheer them on at home against Pittsburgh.

  9. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=31g0YE61PLQ ...is what I would say if they were in possession of their own first pick. Their pick belongs to Edmonton. Therefore, meh.
  10. Fight the good fight. Disembowel and eat his firstborn as well.
  11. Grigorenko. Deslaurierses, while nice, are cheaper to acquire. Skill and high potential come at a premium. Not ready to declare bust on Grigs yet.
  12. I'm gathering that zero Canes fans will be watching this game, because bouncy ball. And because Canes fans.
  13. Troof. I would say much more palatable, myself.
  14. McKenzie: Edmonton Could Have Two Shots at McDavid Edmonton is in posession of Pit's first rounder, which would be a meager lottery pick, supposing the Penguins miss the playoffs. An outside chance at getting both McDavid and a 3-5 overall pick is a nice thought. In our court, Ottawa still has a chance to bump the Islanders, but OTT would need to win out while NYI collects zero points. Pittsburgh and Detroit would also each have to win 2 out these last 3 to make that happen. St Louis, of course, has clinched. Edit: in the case NYI gets slammed out of the playoff race and then wins the lottery, we could instantly get both McDavid and EIchel. If that's not bonerrific draft thinking, I'm not sure what is. According to SportsClub Stats, the Islanders have a 99.9% chance of making the playoffs (not sure I believe it to that precision), making the chance we get McDavid and Eichel about 1 or 2 in 100000, if we succeed in our quest for 30th. I'm saying there's a chance.
